I scanned the topics real quick and didn't see it mentioned yet, so I apologize if it has or is being discussed somewhere else but...
Boxrec now has a scoring feature where you can enter your own scores. I didn't have time to explore it much but check it out. I entered one in and it's pretty slick they way they have it set up.

Boxrec - Scoring Feature
Saw it yesterday, great that other sites are doing unofficial scoring.
Where do I go for that? Also does anyone else get virus threats from boxrec?
Far fight side of the fight box, it says 10-9 scoring. If you don't find it I will try to be clearer.
Bad news for this site. They will take any new fans interested in saving and comparing their own scores.
I rather stay with this site. I don't like using boxrec at all.
I tried the forums on boxrec ages and ages ago, before building this site, I wasn't at all impressed. Haven't been back.
Do you have any ideas about making this site better - i.e, possibly interesting to more people?
I never really liked boxrec, I would always get virus warnings and stuff like that.
I say what would work better is like showing more records of fighters. Showing more statistics would help. I also think that adding polls such as like fantasy fight predictions, polls on fights that are confirmed. Something I always thought of is like a fantasy boxing league or something where everyone picks a team of boxers and get points and whoever has the most wins. I could go into more detail about that if need be. If you need me for any help, I will gladly do it.
Hi Zoe
Thanks for taking the time to build this. Good fun.
I have a few ideas for you. Zero practical ability to help out though so sorry about that.
1. My main idea is try to market as a gambling aid as well as a boxing community. Have 2 comment boxes at the bottom of each fight page, vertically adjacent; one for predictions only and one for general comments. Maybe even have an output for the median prediction. Add search tags around forecasting, prediction, betting analysis etc, etc. Fighter pages could be report/output pages. Average per round all fights combined. Stealing from boxrec a little bit, you could have a ranking system for difficulty of fight (determined by admins?) and add this as a filter on the fighter page so you can cut by elite fights or by fights against journeymen, etc, etc.
2. The averages seem to break on some fights but it's quite an important feature.
3. Not sure how easy it is but make the site more phone compatible. I don't use it on the phone myself but had a look and you can't see all 12 rounds on the averages column as it goes off screen (checking on iphone8).
4. Data integrity is important. Had a look at Boxrec and there were multiple 10-8 rounds when there were no knockdowns in certain fights. Obviously everybody has the right to an opinion but there are obvious anomalies like the user "NamBoxing" https://eyeonthering.com/users/namboxing on this site. There should be a way for admins to remove those instances.
Hey guys,
I'm new to this site. I've been scoring over on BoxRec for a few weeks before discovering this site. Seems like a cool community that you guys have.
Welcome and thanks. We are a small corner of the web, but I think it's cool that anyone can come here and save their cards. What we do need is more users however. Maybe you can bring some guys over from boxrec and get them to come here. We're still not well known, which is our biggest problem.
I will definitely tell my friends.
I've been trying to post this site to the boxing sub-reddit whenever fan scoring comes up.
Boxrec is good for records, but I wouldn't want to use their format for fight scoring.
Thanks for that. It's the only way we will grow I think.
The scoring system in this site is far better than boxrec's one...The only benefit in boxrec is you csn score ANY fight: sometimes i score there fights not yet on here, waiting to score here...
That's a good point. I wish it was easier to add bouts here, though I imagine they always have to be careful to avoid duplicates.
