R1- Mayweather is greeted by a series of boos from the crowd. The hand speed of Mayweather is apparent from the jump, as he has no problem pelting Nunez with jabs and right hands. Mayweather buckles Nunez on two occasions with quick right crosses, but Nunez shows a n impressive recovery.

R2- Mayweather gets told to “keep ‘em up” after landing a straight right to the body. Nunez lets go of a solid combination around midway into the round, but Mayweather moves with every shot and simply catches them on his shoulders. The ref is not a fan of Mayweather’s showboating, urging him to “come on” after he drops his hands and taunts Nunez. Mayweather obliges though, tagging Nunez with a big barrage. A cut opens up above the right eye of Nunez as a result.

R3- Mayweather is still picking off power shots from various angles on Nunez, while evading everything that comes back his way. Mayweather hurts Nunez with a gazelle hook, but Nunez shows a good recovery once again. Nunez traps Mayweather on the ropes late, only to take a series of right uppercuts to the face. As they seperate off the ropes, Nunez starts to paw at his cut, prompting the ref to stop the fight. The crowd is very unhappy with this decision. Nunez would retire after this beating, which he announced he would do before the fight even began.
