What concerns me the most isn't then end of the fight but the beginning of the fight, if we're talking about how horribly the scoring system in boxing is, its terrible but what you can't forget in the scoring in ring control/pressure and effectiveness. Loma throwing combos that mad Haney clinch is more effective than 50% of your significant strikes being body strikes not having an effect on the opponent and them still pressuring.

It just shows how subjective it is. In my book, tying someone up on the inside is a skill in it's self. I scored all the early rounds to Haney. I thought Loma was struggling to land anything of note, and Haney's body shots looked like a bit of a replica of what Teofimo did to him. They obviously weren't as powerful but we enough to keep him at range, then tie him up when he did manage to get inside. There wasn't much happening but those body shots were about the only clean shots landing in the first half of the fight, and more solid than anything Loma landed up until about round 7, imho.

I firmly believe this was a 'what you like' fight, so I'm not surprised people scored it both ways. I do tend to score subjectively favorably for good body work, which was probably the difference. I do find it laughable people calling it a robbery when 30-40% score it one way and 60-70% another way. It's subjective.

I watched the fight on a french channel, and french commentators were clearly pro-Loma, but were finding him losing the fight, having no solution and didn't throwing effective punches until the latter rounds.

I do not pretend at all I am a good scorer, and I scored live without rewatching any round of the fight (so won't make post fights amendements for the fights I scored live), but I see that I scored the 10th for Haney while everyone seems to give it to Loma, and some want to hang the judge that gives that round to Haney. I really can't pretend I am a pro like Dave Moretti, and I don't want to defend him especially (I probably disagreed with him on other rounds or on other fights) but it shows me everything can be subjective. I certainly won't call that result a robbery, but can totally understand that people can see the fight with a different perspective and ending with a different result.
