Re: Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs Jack Culcay
Prediction,
Derevyanchenko is good, even though he lost to Jacobs, he did very well, pushed Jacobs to an SD, proved he is world level, so he definitely deserves to fight at world level again. Culcay is underrated in my opinion, 25-3, good record, he lost to Guido Nicolas Pitto in 2013, but beat him in an immediate rematch, he lost to Demetrius Andrade, and he lost his following fight, against Sulecki, who is a good fighter. Culcay has never been stopped, losing to Andrade and Sulecki by the wide but not landslide margins he lost by, doesn't mean he is poor at world level. Culcay has had 3 fights since the Sulecki loss, won all of them, his last fight was 7 months ago, his form isn't bad, he is not an old fighter.
Derevyanchenko should be the favourite, he will be expected to win, it would be a statement, would definitely be impressive, if he stopped Culcay, Culcay might not have been stopped, but he has been down at least twice in his career, he can be hurt, so Derevyanchenko has a decent chance of getting the stoppage.
I think this will go the distance, I think it will be a competitive fight, but Derevyanchenko will win a UD, maybe by 116-112.
If Derevyanchenko wins this, he definitely deserves a world title shot, the Jacobs fight was a good watch, close one, so the rematch is an option if Jacobs pulls out the upset against Alvarez, the winner of Andrade vs Saunders as well. Culcay shouldn't be written off, he is not a bad fighter, but I think Derevyanchenko wins this.

Re: Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs Jack Culcay
Good fight, it was very technical at the start, but it became a lot more of a physically tough and positive fight in the late rounds. Culcay is underrated in my opinion, he made a good account of himself against Andrade, Sulecki is a good fighter, was in a good fight against him, and in this fight, he boxed well, Derevyanchenko struggled with his movement in the early rounds, and in round 10, he hurt Derevyanchenko, Derevyanchenko's aggression and output was too much for Culcay to win, but that was not a one sided fight. Derevyanchenko has amateur pedigree, but he doesn't fight like an amateur, has adapted to the professional game well, is a 12 round fighter, but he can be hurt, and once he's hurt, he doesn't seem to have the survival skill at this level, so I think against a Canelo, Golovkin, that would be costly.
PBC should do a 160 bill this year, Charlo vs Derevyanchenko should happen in my opinion, and they should put Culcay vs Korobov on the undercard.
