Re: Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker
Joyce's strategy for a lot of his fights (courtesy of his name 'the juggernaut') seems to be to take a lot of punishment to dish out more punishment. This has worked very well for every one if his opponents so far, but I think this time will be different.
Not only does parker have a just as good, if not better chin than Joyce but I believe he's a much better technical boxer as well.
I think parker will capitalise on Joyce's slowness and poor defense for most of the Fight. I don't think he'll stop Joyce but I think he'll win a pretty wide UD (117-111, 118-110).

Re: Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker
Prediction.
Parker has more speed, especially in terms of hand speed, Joyce is definitely stronger. There isn't much in it for punching power, both have great chins, Joyce has a higher output. Both fighters have great jabs, but Joyce's reach advantage could be the difference. Parker is definitely the better defensive fighter. Parker can box on the back foot, Joyce doesn't cut off the ring well, but the key question could be whether Parker is kept on the end of Joyce's jab as he tries to use the ring. Joyce has better variety, but I think Parker is more accurate, neither are great counter punchers, and who is able to get off first could be very important.
I think the battle of the jabs will be interesting, Parker will take centre ring, throw the 1, 2 first, but Joyce will out jab Parker. I think Joyce will struggle to apply his usual relentless tactic, but Parker's tactics will be negated by Joyce's jab. I think the tempo will increase as the fight goes on, Parker will walk through Joyce's jab and let his hands go, will land clean combinations, but Joyce will punch with and over power Parker, I think both fighters will hold up well down the stretch, Joyce won't be able to keep Parker on the ropes, but Parker won't be able to move consistently.
I think this is a 50/50 fight, but I'm leaning towards Joyce, my prediction is Joyce by SD, I think it will be a close fight, Id be surprised if it wasn't competitive.

I really didn't think joyce would win this fight, let alone knock parker out, something even Joshua couldn't do. Genuinely mightve been the biggest shock of the year so far for me

Re: Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker
Joe Joyce is the third best heavyweight in the world behind Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. I hope he gets his WBO title shot soon, he's already 37 so time is against him.
On another note, that was one of the best fights this year, and actually worth the PPV price (just £20) for once (although the undercard was underwhelming).

I love watching Joe Joyce fight. He's a perfect example of why using an "eye test" as a criteria to judge a boxer's quality is a total and utter BS with no validity.

Re: Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker
Great performance from Joyce, he was in the pocket for the whole fight, took a lot of risks, but was consistent, broke Parker down methodically. Joyce beat Parker to the jab in the early rounds, that was very important, Parker had to make it about power shots, which forced him to open up and exchange, he had a lot of success, but he couldn't hurt Joyce, and Joyce over powered and out worked him on the inside. Joyce was relentless, didn't need to try and make every shot hard, but one hard shot in a sequence amongst shots without much on them did damage and didn't take much out of him, he was varied, slowed down Parker's movement with body shots, took full advantage whenever Parker was on the ropes, and didn't take too many risks to try to win all the rounds when the fight was taking more out of Parker. Parker was very competitive, his chin held up well, and he rallied after some bad rounds before he was stopped, I think the game plan was good, but he was too heavy, he was always going to need a fairy high output and to move consistently, so that was unwise. Joyce proved to be at the very least a top 5 heavyweight with this performance.
