Re: Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Liborio Solis
Prediction,
Rigondeaux is a level above Solis, and even though he is very old, so is Solis. Solis has had a lot more professional fights than Rigondeaux, but Rigondeaux has the much better resume, has a lot more pedigree, and there is no comparison for amateur careers.
The weight aspect makes this interesting, I think it has to favour one of the fighters, Rigondeaux if he makes the weight and rehydrates, because he will be hitting and being hit by a smaller fighter than he is used to, will be be the stronger fighter, but if he is drained, that obviously favours Solis, I think Solis is a bad opponent to be drained against, with his pressure and come forward style, and he attacks the body.
Rigondeaux is a career super bantam, he jumped up to 130, he has never weighed in closer to 118 than 122, so at 39, making 118 is a very big ask, I don't think he can make the weight without being drained, I think he will tire in the second half of the fight, I don't think he will take Solis's punches better than he took shots at 122, he will be vulnerable to the body, but I think Rigondeaux will out box Solis in some of the rounds, will get the better of the first half of the fight, and I don't think Solis, at 37, can exploit Rigondeaux's weaknesses enough to win the fight.
I think Rigondeaux wins by MD.

Re: Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Liborio Solis
This fight was terrible, but these were two very old fighters, I think Rigondeaux was drained to an extent, but less drained than I thought he would be. I expected Rigondeaux to get the better of the first half and Solis the second half, but it was the other way around, Solis started fast, got close, attacked in high volume on the inside, but Rigondeaux went back to his old style of moving and not throwing any more shots than he needs to to nick the rounds.
