Guillermo Rigondeaux defends his WBA and WBO 122lb world titles, taking on Hisashi Amagasa, in the challenger's home country.

Rigondeaux boxes to a comfortable lead in the first 6 rounds, at least two judges giving him all 6, the fight does change drastically in tne seventh as Rigondeaux suffers two knockdowns, but he bounces back with a knockdown of his own, two rounds later, to then get back to dominating the fight. After 11 rounds (at which point, Rigondeaux is ahead, 107-99, 107-99, 105-101), Amagasa's corner decide enough is enough, and stop him doing the last round, meaning Rigondeaux gets a round 11 TKO to defend his titles.
