To the surprise of absolutely no one, Top Rank has selected Timothy Bradley as Manny Pacquiao's next opponent. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 9.

This is the best opening episode of a 24/7 series since...I dunno...maybe Mayweather-Mosley. I like how they're focusing on the people in the periphery since we know the principals so well--the segment on Linares's savage loss to DeMarco, with the scene of Manny comforting a battered Jorge in the locker room afterward, was extremely effective.

Manny looks sharp.

Floyd broke his silence today in a brief interview with Ben Thompson at Fighthype.com. The skinny:

• He calls Mosley his "leftovers," and says although he will be rooting for Shane, he doesn't give him much of a shot against Manny, and even implies that Shane should take PEDs for the fight to level the playing field
• The rumors of him fighting this summer, especially against Paul Spadafora, are completely unfounded, and that he is happily enjoying his hiatus
• He will fight Manny whenever Manny agrees to take the test

In other words, same old Floyd.
