Funny enough, when GGG actually loses wide, the judging is perhaps a bit too friendly. Age showed here, as GGG couldn't even get into the fight until it was too late and had to conserve his energy for one burst near the end.

Canelo did well to win this wide, but honestly, I was expecting a stoppage given how much GGG has slowed down (struggling with Derevy for example). Canelo lacked a bit of creativity and focused too much on punches to the head. Still, a wins a win, and even at 40, GGG isn't just a pushover. So, I'm not going to take away all the credit.

Entertainment wise, this fight was a disappointment. It was legitimately bad up until the 9th-12th, and even that period only made it a decent watch.
