You know Stevenson called out Monagahan, very disappointed to hear that earlier.

Yeah, they were supposed to fight and then it got scrapped. I'm glad it didn't happen because Stevenson should not be fighting Monagahan and should be looking to fight a better name. I don't know why he doesn't express desire to fight elite fighters, he's top 3 in a very good division. Even if he doesn't fight Ward, there's still plenty of options like Kovalev if he looks good in a comeback, Beterbiev, Marcus Browne, Sullivan Barrera, Alvarez, and Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

There is no reason for any of us to complain now about fans not liking him, most fans pay their hard earned money to watch the fight, they deserve to see the best fight the best.

Yeah, I can see where the fans are coming from. The only fight I've been ok with Stevenson in the last couple years was Williams Jr. I thought that Williams would give him some problems in the fight and he did. Other than that his opposition has been less than great.

I don't think even Williams was a great fight, decent match up, but not a 50/50, 60/40 fight. And that is bad for boxing, the fans, the others champions, contenders in the division, the sport, deserves better, shame on him for calling out Monaghan, what about Cleverly, Jack, Beterbiev, Ward, Alvarez? It really is not right, it is dishonest to hold a belt by beating guys who aren't good enough.

I think that Williams legitimately deserved the fight. Unlike Fonfora rematch or Karpency. I think those 2 were wastes of time. I think those fights are bad for the contenders who actually deserve the title fight like the guys you mentioned. I really hope he takes a big fight soon. I think he should next.

I agree to the extent that Williams, in himself is a worthy opponent, but he isn't great, it wasn't a 50/50 fight, and if that is the best fight Stevenson has had in years, then that says it all.

I agree on that. Hopefully he fights one more time this year and it's a name that we have thrown out when we've had this discussion on Stevensons opponent selection.

I doubt it very much, unless of course he is ordered, an interesting question to me, is, would he vacate the belt? I think Sullivan Barrera might beat him if they fought, I think Stevenson would certainly have to start well, and at least, have the better of the first half.
