Re: Jose Carlos Ramirez vs Antonio Orozco Scorecard by Gold
Great slugfest, Ramirez put on a good show for the hometown crowd and Orozco was a game opponent for him. It was a good win for Ramirez, but he showed he can be boxed at some points and is pretty hittable sometimes using his offense as his defense. I think Prograis is better, probably Taylor as well. It's a shame Ramirez isn't in the WBSS so we can see those fights sooner.

It was an awesome fight!
Prograis against Ramirez would be awesome, Prograis more dominant, but meh, I wouldn't get carried away (not saying you are), because Ramirez is younger, more time to learn. Ramirez got hit, but he never got hurt, and at times, he did prove to have good defence, that pivot he has learned with Robert Garcia is brilliant, he would be more defensive against a more dangerous opponent, but with the output, pace, footwork, jab, variety, durability of Ramirez, and considering he will probably improve over the next few years, it is hard to favour Prograis and Taylor, then again, Taylor seems to have less faults, harder to hit, and Prograis looks like a powerhouse, top 3 at 140, but I think Ramirez is the best, he is the champion afterall.

You are entitled to say he's better, there isn't a lot to say definitively either way yet on who is the top dog at Super Lightweight. However, to say he's the best because he's the champion, he is only the champion because he was given the opportunity that Taylor and Prograis didn't get. I would pick both of them to beat Imam as well.

So would I, but Ramirez is learning, improving, he learned against Imam like Taylor learned against Postol. You are entitled to say he is the weakest of the trio, but definitely, they are all good. Prograis is the most dominant, the most dangerous, and looks like he might be the least vulnerable, but he is also the oldest (he is in his prime, but it is time pressure when you consider his future), has the least amateur pedigree, and is the least tested.
