What fights are we missing?

We're still filling the Fight Vault... what are our obvious omissions?

Re: What fights are we missing?

If you can, get DeGale-Groves up. I have a very strong opinion on who actually won that fight, and I'd like to see what everyone else thinks.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Alargar, great suggestion -- we've just added it!

Re: What fights are we missing?

Thanks! How about Yonnhy Perez-Abner Mares and Yuriorkis Gamboa-Orlando Salido?

Re: What fights are we missing?

How about the two Arturo Gatti-Ivan Robinson fights?

Re: What fights are we missing?

Thanks for the suggestions--we've just added those two wars to the Fight Vault!

Re: What fights are we missing?

I thought the goal was to get every fight in here :o :P

Re: What fights are we missing?

That would be fantastic...! Gotta have big goals, right? :)

Re: What fights are we missing?

Or, not all as in every fight ever fought. Thats impossible. But every fight there is full footage of, should be included eventually ;)

Re: What fights are we missing?

The Tarver - Johnson bouts.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Re: What fights are we missing?

Gotta say well done to whoever is running this site, as soon as a fight is requested it is update straight away.

Re: What fights are we missing?

It's Nick and I behind the scenes. The site is still pretty new, so we're adding to it frequently. And thanks! :)

Re: What fights are we missing?

Anyone no where I can watch the third Pacquiao/Marquez fight? I can't find it on YouTube. I'm in the UK so I haven't watched the HBO version, did Lederman really have it 8/4 Pac man? When I watched it live I thought Marquez won comfortably at best I thought Pacquiao got a draw. Based on first time viewing I don't know how Lederman can only find four rounds for Marquez and somehow finds 8 for Pacquiao. Anyway if anyone has got a link to the fight i'd appreciate it. Cheers.

Re: What fights are we missing?
Re: What fights are we missing?

"This fight is not available in your region" it's the thought that counts. Thanks anyway.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Weird I get the same 'not available in your region', but I'm on the west coast of the states. Curious as to what region they are targeting. :\

Re: What fights are we missing?

I want to score a fight which is close, recent and somewhat entertaining. Any suggestions?

P.S. - They have to be on YouTube or somewhere where I can watch the fight with good quality. Cheers.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Just any of the ESPN FNF fights... just any fights are good, really.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Alargar: we're wanting as many fights up here as possible for sure... and we want to be community driven... would you add some of the fights you want to score to the vault if you could? Email me at zoe at eyeonthering dot com if you do...

Re: What fights are we missing?

How about Micky Ward vs Emanuel Augustus(Burton) and Marco Antonio Barrera vs Prince Hamed?

Re: What fights are we missing?

Johnny Tapia vs Danny Romero

Re: What fights are we missing?

Yoshihiro Kamegai vs Jorge Silva intense all action fight that ended in a majority draw! Happened 10-06-12 on FOX Deportes I believe.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Just joined and very impressed with everything so far. Here's a list of fights I'd like to be able to score on here, but no rush getting them up as I probably won't be able to watch all of these for weeks. Keep up the good work!

Frazier-Ali II
Holyfield-Ruiz I-III
Forrest-Mayorga I and II
Spinks-Mayorga
Toney-Griffin I and II
Corrales-Casamayor III
Lewis-Mercer

Re: What fights are we missing?

Welcome Corey!

I'll get these fights up some time this weekend. Great list.

Re: What fights are we missing?

I saw where you mentioned a member adding fights to the vault him/herself. Just wanted to let you know I'd be happy to add fights to it if I am able to. If you want to handle it yourself, that's fine too. Just putting the offer out there! Thanks.

Re: What fights are we missing?

I added the fights you requested above, but I also added to you as a fight editor! I sent you an email with a few more details. Cheers!

Re: What fights are we missing?

Great list! I'll message you when I have some of these added!

Re: What fights are we missing?

Cool, no pressure, just if or when you would like to. 4 hours to go and I'm getting so nervous, I really want Manny to win. You guys in the US are well lucky not having to stay up in the middle of the night to watch the big fights and then have to find time to catch up on sleep, I've been practising routing and cheering for Manny in whispers because I don't want to wake everyone up, it will be harder than ever tonight. So are you saying an SD for Mayweather?

Re: What fights are we missing?

Man if there's a fight you may end up whooping it up and waking up the whole house, this might be it. The timing is better here for sure - also I'm on the west coast so it's an evening thing. Fight fans around here make a night of it. A small crowd gathers at someone's house, and there's usually loads of great food, grilled up meats or homemade chili or something like that. I'm making up a big pile of baked nachos.

I have been avoiding making a pick on this fight for so long. I'll again quote someone on here (you, again??!@?) who said something like their head says Mayweather but their heart votes Manny.

I'd love to see a knock out but I think it's going to be a decision. I don't know which way it will go.

Re: What fights are we missing?

I think so too, I just feel it depends on Pacquiao, he can have good streaks of success but he may get carried away, this is the most important fight of his life so I really hope he performs to the best of his ability. The really do have the wrong ref for this fight, he will be unfair to Manny. I think both fighters will go for the knockout at some stage, I'm saying Pacquiao via UD but I'm not that confident. Just out of interest do you think Khan would give Mayweather a harder fight or do you think this is the toughest fight out there for him?

Re: What fights are we missing?

No way Khan gives Mayweather a harder time. It did seem like Khan was coming back to the elite level after he switched up his trainer... and who did he fight, now I can't remember. But what has he done lately. Nah, Khan is a good fighter, world class even, at times, but not to the elite level. In my opinion that is.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Hey Zoe,
Hasn't it been such a hard week for boxing fans around the world, it is such a shame Manny didn't get the win. I have been thinking about how great it is to talk with other boxing fans on this site and how awesome it would be if we saw more of each other as boxers, I was thinking of posting a mitt workout video on Eye on the ring in a few weeks time and also posting a shadow boxing video on the site as well, I think it would look good, I know that not every scorer is a boxer but some are and may agree with my idea, Just wondering what you think?

Re: What fights are we missing?

Hey Zoe,
I have just recently thought of an idea for this site that I think you might like, I was thinking maybe you could create an eye on the ring fight prediction page, you could also design a system where if you're prediction is right or just close then you get a certain amount of points, maybe 2 for the right fighter and 10 or more for then right way of winning just a thought.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Is this site still active or have you been all on vacation this past month? No disrespect intended by that but it appears you were very engaged and responded immediately to these requests then suddenly nothing ... I've bee waiting patiently along with many other members for for our requests to be at least acknowledged, let alone granted.

Re: What fights are we missing?

I know Zoe is very busy with other things, I think she was unemployed when she started Eye on the ring and now she has a job, the site is still active, but people have other commitments that have to take priority over leisure activities, quite understandable really.
