Fights that are hard to find

There are a lot of fights that can be hard to find on YouTube or daily motion etc. but exist on more obscure sites. Thought it might be a good idea for anybody who stumbles on a difficult to find fight to have a place to share a link. Or a request for a hard to locate fight.

I know some people are having trouble finding Rafael Marquez vs Israel Vazquez I

So here is a link it exists if you dig a little bit

Re: Fights that are hard to find

This is a great idea. People should post both obscure sites, but also fight requests. I believe Boxing Scene has something similar in those forums, but they are generally more toxic than I'd like to pilfer through, lol

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Boxing Scene is good overall in my opinion, but there is some bad stuff on it, a few people that feel the need to start threads on topics that are completely unrelated to boxing and for nobody's benefit, overall, good site in my opinion.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

I like it overall, too. I just find weird threads sometimes, filled with crazy racist rants, weird overly macho sexism, etc. I like it very much overall, for sure, but digging through the threads sometimes can get depressing, lol. Boxrec has a decent forum. WIsh they hosted more fight sharing on there. I think I'm going to download every fight I can, and store them, in the event they disappear at anytime, in the hopes of being able to share with others.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

I know, some of it is ridiculous, one guy was bragging about beating up a homeless person. Best off just using Boxing Scene for news rather than discussion, that's what I do, I don't have an account, just use it for news.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Floyd vs. Canelo with Showtime commentary is extremely hard to find. Boxingscene is good to use for it. For recent fights, there are some good sites that host them. http://boxingfights.ucoz.com/ has been reliable recently.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

I prefer https://www.boxingforum24.com/ but it is generally the guys I know best pm’ing back and forth rather than threads on these hard to find fights...although due to a request a hard to find Ismael Laguna fight got posted on YouTube

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Anyone know where I can find Lara vs Castano or Wilder vs Fury?

Lara vs Castano if you don’t mind Spanish commentary

Re: Fights that are hard to find

It doesn't matter some fights I don't even listen to commentary as long as the fight Is of good quality I'll watch, thanks.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

When I am scoring I prefer the Spanish or Asian broadcasts if I can find them. If it is English I mute it when I watch. Commentary is so biased in many cases and even though seasoned boxing fans don’t think it influences them...:it does! Some good articles out there on commentary swaying fan opinions on fights.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Honestly I think it does. I feel like it's the same if you check twitter during the fight, and it can sway your opinion. I remember watching Ward Kovalev 1 live, and during the whole fight everyone was saying Kovalev was winning and won, I remember thinking that I felt I did a good job scoring and couldn't see a win for Kovalev. I was honestly shocked to see that so many people thought Ward was "gifted" a decision. Same for GGG Jacobs I remember people on twitter were saying that Jacobs won and I had GGG up by one point at the end. I thought I scored it wrong but after watching a second time I had the same score. Also do you know where I can find Porter vs Garcia anywhere?

Re: Fights that are hard to find
Re: Fights that are hard to find

I will hav to see if I can dig my cards up....going through a stack of new rebooks with fights I have scored lol. But I think I also had Ward and GGG winning those 2 fights.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Do you do the scoring by hand or do you use an app?

Re: Fights that are hard to find

By hand and make notes. 1 dot for a close round 2 dots for ultra close rounds where others will score different. That way I can go back and see,...8 rds very close will make a wide variance in judges cards or ours. What app do you use? And I put the Garcia fight link up there

Re: Fights that are hard to find

It's called judgepad. It has a thing where you click for rounds you think are close and you can take notes on it. I did see you posted it I just haven't been able to get around it I've been busy.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Good thread. I haven’t been able to locate the recent Lee Selby vs Omar Douglas fight, with English commentary. Props to anyone who can find a copy.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Alfredo Escalera vs Ronnie McGarvey

Re: Fights that are hard to find

Whewwww....older fights are harder to find...less footage floating around. I will dig a little tomorrow if no one else unearths it....but this might be hard to find?

Re: Fights that are hard to find

I know, I’ve dug through a lot of my normal channels, and have struck out. Figured it’d be somewhere, considering it was on a Foreman card(if I remember correctly), but I could be SOL.

Re: Fights that are hard to find

I put a feeler out in another classic boxing forum to see if anyone knows or has footage or if they know of a link....but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. I will dig some tomorrow but 70’s and earlier are hit and muss
