Hey sandman, just a couple of quick questions, are these blank comments intentional?, How on earth did you post a blank comment?, I thought comment field was always required and if you don't want to say anything you would have to just register a full stop or something.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Don't know how that happened, especially twice.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Ok, trying again. Here's the problem: where there's sponsors/advertisers there's monetary interest in high member activity. There's even a point incentive system to increase number of eyeballs on these ads. I understand other priorities can certainly come into play in life but that what we give attention to thrives. And when an entire month goes by without responses to our feedback then eventually the site will dry up. Remember, feedback was solicited to improve the site. Should Zoe be otherwise occupied (hopefully not due to a negative occurance) then I hope she can get some assistance. I certainly wouldn't an admin position. You, I, and many others really enjoy this pastime of scoring and discussing results. I'm sure you agree we're not such a common breed that we can get this type of engagement with like-minded people with a random group just about anywhere else.

Re: What fights are we missing?

I understand where you are coming from, I'm sure she will get back to you soon.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Edit: This is in reply to SandPeat...

You are spot on with your comments.

Regarding the site maintenance, in the past I've had multiple other editors, but that hasn't been the case for a while. I have strong feelings that this is a community site and in that spirit I welcome any fans that want to be editors on here. However... I also don't want that to take the enjoyment out of anyone's experience, and becoming responsible for content can do that. But you are right nonetheless.

And everyone should know that the advertisements do not make money. Eyeballs on an ad make a fraction of a penny and a click makes a few whole pennies. I don't make even whole dollars on the ads. My initial intention was that the ads would eventually pay for the costs of hosting the site, but that was naive. Just last month I had to upgrade our hosting plan because the EOTR database became too big for the plan I was on. In short, I've never made a dime, but that's just fine with me, I'm not trying to make money. The entire point is to make a specific type of community that doesn't really exist out there. I like how you put it, we're not such a common breed. Forums where you talk about fights are out there, but here the format gives you facts to mix into the discussion.

I could go on quite a bit, but I'll cut myself off. I hope you stick around!!

Scott Pemberton vs Peter Manfredo Jr. I not gonna be able to find this link in my email I might have to stop suggestions if it a problem. Cause its more comments over here it would seem more confusing over here with all the comments. But its ok thanks if I have a few suggestion just make a note I do it as I see them.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Another option is just putting your requests on one of my scorecards, because I'm always notified if it is on my card, and I wouldn't miss any.

Mustafa Hamsho vs. WB surprisingly one sided and set up a hagler hamsho rematch and started Bentiz' unfortunate decline that makes people forget how good he was.

Re: What fights are we missing?

I'm not sure if this is right topic, but I miss some recent fights. Tomoki Kameda vs Jamie McDonnell and Ricky Burns vs Omar Figueroa were fun fights to watch and in my opinion both fights had quite controversial scoring.

Re: What fights are we missing?

Thank you for inquiring. I submit Cassius Clay vs Doug Jones. Ring's FOTY for good reason, many thought Jones won and the sold out crowd booed the decision. Amazing to see Clay fight desperately in rounds nine and ten as if he felt he needed a knockout. Remember, Clay had never been tested and never had to do that before. I scored it a draw, btw ...
