R1- Sadly not on film. However, I am going to give Napoles the benefit of the doubt due to the official scorecards and how the rest of the rounds went.

R2- The first half features awful film quality and it’s nigh impossible to determine what actually happened. In the second half, Napoles starts to move his head and counter Lewis frequently with the left hook, rocking him multiple times.

R3- Napoles is getting under the offense of Lewis and then countering with hooks to the body and head. The jab is landing often for Napoles too and even moving Lewis physically at times.

R5- This round is not on film, but I am going to assume that Napoles won it due to the previous climate of the bout.

R6- Napoles continues to outjab Lewis and potshot him with the left hook.

R7- Lewis lands his first successful combination of the fight, but Napoles makes him change his mind about exchanging after landing some body shots. Napoles then starts to land more to the head. Though possibly off balance, Lewis goes down after taking a left hook to the forehead. I felt this should have been ruled as a knockdown. Several more body blows land for Napoles before the bell.

R8- A right to the body makes Lewis collect distance at the start of the round. Later, Lewis has success during an exchange, but Napoles continues to land the right to the head after this sequence ends. Lewis gets rocked yet again by a left hook before the bell.

R9- For the first time in his career (at least on film), Napoles switches to southpaw to follow Lewis out with some right hooks, hurting him. Napoles then traps him on the opposite side of the ring, slipping a right to deliver an overhand that hurts Lewis again, prompting Napoles to maul him. After Lewis makes it to the opposite side of the ring again, Napoles wobbles him with a left hook then makes him turn away by a right hand. A counter looping right-left hook-straight right combo send Lewis into the ropes, which seemingly hold him up. Napoles gets in a couple of more shots and Lewis reels forward in an attempt to clinch. The ref helps him to his corner and he looks groggy. Both had clearly lost a step since they first met, but I do not think Lewis would have won anyway. Napoles still deserves credit for adjusting and thoroughly dominating a once sturdy opponent for him. Another very good performance and win by Napoles as well as an epic finish.
