McCoy had lost 3 of his last 4... There was no reason Louis was facing him in the first place. Prior to this fight he had lost 2 in a row. Under a modern day lens this fight would face a lot of scrutiny. In fact, Louis had yet to face someone his size yet in his title reign besides Schmeling.
