Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
Looks like Canelo will be fed a steady diet of bullshit fights throughout 2021. First this crap. Followed by another bullshitacular showdown on Cinco de Mayo with Saunders which is another bullshit fight. In any case, if Canelo is going to stick to 168lbs then he needs to fight either Plant or Benavidez. If he wants 175lbs, then fucking fight Beterbiev or if not then Bivol.

Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
That’s an interesting fight. I could only see it going one of 2 ways either Plant UD or a Benavidez late stoppage. Benavidez is rather flawed but has good punching power although he’s starting to show traits of being an undisciplined fighter still I think Benavidez is the more exciting fighter to watch out of the two. Plant has good boxing skills and although I can’t prove this one yet because he’s undefeated I think Plant has a weak chin I can spot a weak chin when I see one and Plant is it. Resume wise they’re about even but I give Benavidez the slight edge on the basis of the Dirrell W solely. I could definitely see a scenario playing out where Plant is comfortably ahead and Benavidez comes from behind to stop him. This is probably the more exciting fight to be made at 168 imho because Canelo will have a field day with either of these two.
With regards to Canelo vs Beterbiev now THAT’S a hard one. I could totally see Canelo beating Beterbiev and doing so by KO too. But at the same time I could see Beterbiev KOing Canelo into the following week. Beterbiev is one of those fighters that has KO power at all points of the fight. Also interesting fact but somewhere in between the middle rounds in Canelo vs Kovalev, he said to Reynoso that he respected Kovalev’s punch via translator. So if Canelo respected Kovalev’s power you can bet he’ll definitely respect Beterbiev’s. Also, Beterbiev is a solid motherfucker I remember every time Gvozdyk hit him it sounded like Nail was hitting a punching bag and you have to be a real tough motherfucker for that. Beterbiev might be the bigger man not in the height dept but just overall natural frame. I could see this one going either way really. Against Bivol is more interesting. I’d pick Bivol to beat Beterbiev on points if they were to fight. But not sure if I’d pick him to beat Canelo probably not the whole styles make fights crap.

Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
couldnt disagree with your Bivol Beterbev pick and agreed on Plant and Benavidez probably being the best and most competitive matchup at 168 but given the direction Plant is looking at and Canelo probably free for a September date looks like that fight probably wont happen in 2021 provided Canelo chooses a third opponent outside of them 2 or some shit for Mexican Independence Day weekend and even then they'd probably fight on the same card in showcase fights late this year to set up the big fight maybe first half next year or some shit
weak chin really?...wow ok

Easy fight for Canelo, gets his mandatory out the way and gets paid for an easy night's work against a guy who hasn't even fought in 2 years. He honestly might knock him out in the first round.

Canelo KO 4. I'm expecting a knockout of the year candidate or something like that.

Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
Prediction.
I think Canelo will fight 3 times this year, he last year was the first time he's gone a year with only one fight, it's early in the year, and I think this will be the easiest fight he's had in over a decade. I'd be surprised if this went past 4 rounds, I think Yildirim is 1 dimensional, can only come forward and try to fight Canelo, but he can't hurt him, he'll be a very easy target, and the accuracy of Canelo's body shots will be his undoing, I think Canelo stops Yildirim in 2 rounds.

Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
I seriously might consider betting something like $20-$30k on Canelo for this one. True the spread might not be great but just some motherfucking easy money.

Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
why did they choose for Canelo to fight yldirumm. I kinda wanted a fight with charlo. anyways, I choose canelo, a dominating performance in a painful KO. i bet millions, in fact, I will bet 100 bucks on this for canelo. if I had 100,000 big bucks, I would bet that. CANELO, DOMINATING 4 ROUNDS FOR A PAINFULL KO IN THE 5TH AHEAD ON SCORES 40-35 ON EACH CARD, EASY BET/CHOICE.

Re: Saul Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
Mismatch, Yildirim shouldn't have been in there, he couldn't let his hands go because he had no confidence he wouldn't miss and get countered, he wouldn't have lasted 3 rounds if he'd backed up, but Canelo conceded the back foot, used his feet comfortably, Yildirim had no answer for the combinations. Credit to Diaz, his fighter had a size advantage he couldn't make anything of, was coming off 2 years out, was fighting the best in the world, had no chance, I don't think there's any better advice he could have given him, and when his fighter was non-responsive, he did what he had to do. I think the WBC should take all the criticism for this fight, Yildirim was too over matched to be competitive at all.
