Solid performance from Flores, he was patient, he didn't oblige Velez, moved away from his shots as they came, Velez was busy, but he couldn't sustain his pressure, he was reaching with his shots, was taking more out of himself than Flores. The left hook was a great shot from Flores, Velez was coming in low, made Flores over reach with the right hand, but Flores stepped around to his right, timed the hook to the side of the head as Velez repositioned his feet, and Velez didn't see it coming. Velez is shot, he has had a good career, but has taken a lot of damage, his miles caught up to him after the Valdez fight, he has to retire now.
