I haven't had a chance to see this fight yet, but you scored the available rounds widely to Harada? Based on what footage is available, do you think Harada was robbed fighting in Kingpetch's backyard?

Here is my write up from another boxing forum, and I seldom use the word robbery as it gets tossed around in every close fight....

Fighting Harada vs Pone Kingpetch II

Wow ! What a robbery I know this was not scored on the 10 pt must system but I had 118-110 on the 12 rounds available. I think you could make a better casa for Harada sweeping this fight than Pone winning. I don’t use the word robbery but this seems very unfair. Harada was all class congratulating Pone and even raising his hand afterwards.

Pone figures much better, than fight 1 meaning it is not a one sided assault...although the first half of the fight (except rds 4-5 which are missing) looked similar to the first fight but Pone did better even though he was losing widely on my card.

Rds 6-7 are semi close but clear Harada rds.

Rds 8-10 ultra close with me going Harada in 8 and Kingpetch in 9-10....but even they could be even or Harada rds. It also looked like Harada scores a KD at the end of 8 and mid 9 but neither look to be called a KD.

Rd 11 missing

12-15 all pretty close but I feel Harada took all 4.

Best case scenerio I have 6-6 in rds giving Pone every marginally close rd...in reality I have it 10-2, w/3 missing rds.

Very fun fight and 6-15 are very fun, the crowd is in a frenzy all night and make me want to go to Thailand to watch a fight. Man they are lively!

I loved the fight but didn’t like the decision at all.

RBR
1-3 Harada
4-5 Missing
6-8 Harada
9-10 Kingpetch
11 Missing
12-15 Harada

Harada 118-110 in a “real robbery” not an arguably close decision..this is even worse than Lockridge vs Gomez!

Might just be me though lol. If you score it I would be interested in how your card comes out...the judges were split, and associated press scored it for Kingpetch....I can’t find much else on this fight written in English, so can’t really get a lot of information.

Thanks for the write-up, I agree robbery gets thrown around too much, if someone doesn't win 7 rounds conclusively (in the 12 round era) they shouldn't cry robbery. I will have to watch it soon. It is interesting Fleischer scored it to Kingpetch, I don't know Fleischer's judging record but he certainly devoted his life to boxing.

I had the fight closely to Harada based on the rounds that were available. One of my problems with scoring fights like this that have poor video quality is that it is hard to tell who is doing the clean effective punching, so I'm not very confident in my score. I don't think I gave every round possible to Kingpetch so maybe there is enough for a draw or win by him but again, it is hard to tell if his counters are landing clean or not. The crowd noise may have affected the judges, to be honest. In the rounds that were clear, they were Harada rounds who was the aggressor throughout the fight. Overall it was a good fight with high activity.

Yeah the footage can be a problem. I don’t remember the quality being bad (but after watching multiple fights memory begins to blur). I think this had 1 stationary camera so when one guys back is to the camera it became even more difficult to tell about the clean punches landed.

It wasn't terrible but for me at least I thought it was hard to see what shots were clean or not. Yeah, it was just one stationary camera in the crowd, that's another issue with scoring it. Definitely a worthwhile fight to watch though, Harada has a very fan friendly style. I'll have to watch the first one sometime.
