Very fun fight that is more competitive than the scorecard might indicate. Vargas eared my respect

So of that generation 60s-90 or so, whose your favorite of the smaller, Asian fighters? Of what I’ve watched, I always liked Ohba, and thought his career would have gone so far had he not died in a wreck early.

I love lighter weight fighters and of course the Asians are well represented there.
Jung Koo Chang the Korean Hawk named after Aaron Pryor is among my favorites.
Samart Payakaroon is so smooth and may be the best Thai boxer and Muay Thai fighter ever.
Sot Chitalada has a great jab that fans of the higher weights miss out on.
The Galaxy brothers or fun and I am in the group that finds Khaokor the better fighter although not resume wise.
Pacquaio is likely the greatest Asian fighter, but Fighting Harada is right there as well as Flash Elorde although there is not much footage of him.
Some great obscure Asian fighters that people miss out on- Myung Woo Yuh, Ben Villaflor, Jiro Watanabe, sung Kil Moon....some good current guts as well like Donaire and Inoue....at the minute I am leaning towards a Donaire upset lol.

Not sure how much of Ohba you have watched but I might say his fight with Betulio Gonzalez is the best fight I have rewatched this year.

Khaokor Galaxy vs Wilfredo Vazquez Sr. And Sung Kil Moon II are very fun fights.

Underrated smooth boxer Kuniaki Shibata vs Eschegaray or Marcel are both fun fights.

Awesome! I’ll have to check those out. Have a list of fights to get through that are from the 60s-80s, the stuff before I was alive/old enough to remember, to watch.

Cool! If you come across any worth recommending let me know! I am always on the look out for ones I have missed or forgotten!

Some you may have seen, but will put some common and obscure ones I enjoyed.

Ricardo Cordoba vs Bernard Dunne
Ken Norton vs Larry Holmes
Akeem Anifowoshe vs Robert Quiroga
Alejandro Gonzalez vs Kevin Kelley

You guys may or may not be interested in this fight, but Coyle vs Brizuela was one of the best fights I've ever seen.

Oh I am interested now...if you guys are ever in the mood for a fun black and white film fight check out Benny Paret vs Gaspar Ortega

I have seen Holmes vs Norton and the Akeem vs Quiroga fight...have Quiroga down on my rewatch list. Have not seen the other 2 that I recall. Thanks
