Prediction,

Terrible match making. Joyce is very old for a prospect, he has 3 years before I'd say he's an old fighter, he should not be wasting time fighting shot opponents like Stiverne and Ustinov.

Ustinov was a good European level fighter, wasn't that bad at world level, but he was never a good world level fighter, never a top 10 heavyweight, he is 42, in his last fight, he took a beating, it was a damaging loss, he was in against a much smaller fighter, but all that meant was that his opponent needed more rounds to beat the shit out of him before stopping him. Ustinov has 3 losses, I think he would have beaten Charr in his prime, he wasn't on Pulev's level, was in against a world level fighter, but he is shot now.

Joyce is unproven, he was a good amateur, but we don't know how well he's adapting to the pros because he isn't being tested, and he won't learn anything from beating up old fighters who are coming off bad losses. I thought Joyce was poor against Stiverne, if he has the power he seemed like he had earlier in his career, it should not have taken him 6 rounds to stop Stiverne, I think he carried Stiverne, wanted the towel to be thrown in, but I don't think he hits as hard as Wilder or even Joshua, he is a puncher, but he has slow feet, doesn't have a jab, I think a fighter who has the reach and ability to control distance can out box him, and when you are easy to hit, easy to stay away from, you need that devastating power, and based on taking 6 rounds to stop a shot Stiverne, he doesn't have it.

Ustinov can still punch, but he is so slow, his reflexes are gone, he is very easy to hit, so unless he hurts Joyce (which is possible if Joyce gets over confident), I don't think can challenge Joyce. If Joyce tries his best, I think he gets rid of Ustinov in 4.

I’m disappointed in Joyce. Went from calling for Ortiz, to fighting Stiverne and Ustinov...so bad. If his next fight isn’t the Dubois fight, or an Ortiz, Hunter, Parker, or Kownacki level guy, it’s a joke and he likely knows he isn’t on that level.

I don't like Haye, Warren, and that idiot who manages Joyce doesn't know boxing, they are bad matchmakers. I get them wanting to make Joyce look good as raise hos stock, but givibg prospects walkovers when they should be having learning fights is bad for them in the long run. It is funny to compare Joyce to otyer prospects who are 10-12 years younger than him, and are being managed well, having learning fights whilst he beats up shot fighters, Haney, Vergil Ortiz, Dubois.

I think Ustinov is underrated. He was robbed against Charr, and it took Pulev eleven rounds to finish him off. He easily outboxed David Tua, (Tua was old, but still dangerous) and I think he is more than capable of beating Joe Joyce. Joyce is slow, untested and too old to be a prospect. It will be close, and I won't be surprised if either man wins. My prediction is that it will go to the scorecards, most people will have Ustinov edging it, but the judges will give it to Joyce.

If you watched Hunter vs. Ustinov, you wouldn't say that.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I won't be disrespectful like I was last time you gave a controversial opinion, but all I strongly disagree, and I would be shocked if this goes the distance. I don't disagree Ustinov is underrated, but you have to bear in mind the timing aspect, like Stiverne, he was underrated, but Stiverne in 2014, and Stiverne against Wilder the second time and against Joyce, different fighter, just like Ustinov at his best, and Ustinov now, two different fighters. The Charr decision wasn't controversial, and going 11 rounds against Pulev doesn't necessarily suggest you are top 20.

I think it is a joke that when Joyce is pushed for time, he is being matched this bad, thrown in against old, shot fighters who are coming off bad losses, the names on his record look good, but I don't see how you an argue Ustinov isn't shot.

Again, respect your opinion, there is no right answer at this stage.

Joyce did what he had to do, can't fault him on the performance, he got Ustinov out of there early like you would expect, but you can't give him props either, because Ustinov is old, shot, and extremely slow. How Joyce thinks this win proves he is ready for Anthony Joshua, I don't know.
