It was a good fight, very confusing ending. I thought it was either going to be a dq or no contest. Khan did give him some problems like I thought, but Crawford was punishing him. I thought he was done after the first. For my prediction, did I pick round 6 or 7 stoppage? I thought I picked either of those rounds.

I don't know, sorry, what I do know is you said mid, got yourself 5 points.

I will watch the fight later.

Khan said after that he couldn't breathe, the pain spread to his stomach, nothing more painful than being hit in the nuts, but you get 5 minutes to recover, if you're Khan, you don't know how bad it is, why not take the 5 minutes? Stupid, if he did quit, can't question his toughness, you should get a pass when it's the balls, but it's just stupid, he should have taken the 5 minutes, that would have been enough time.

That's good.

It's a good scrap before the controversy.

That would be awful. If he was hit in the nuts(I have to watch it closer to see if it was low) then he would've been justified. Those low blows can be very damaging permanently. It happened to Flores against Bellew, and that Buchannan vs Duran. I think we'll never get the Brook fight now. I knew it was unlikely for years now this is just even more confirmation.

I actually like Teofimo Lopez, but I think he's going to talk him into something he'll regret with Lomachenko. Lomachenko is still great and Lopez just isn't ready in my opinion.

As a fighter? Why wouldn't you? Seems like a very talented fighter, he's a prospect, but he seems well on his way to being a world champion, but as a person, he trash talks. If the Lomachencko fight happens this year, then I think it is adult vs kid, a bit like Charlo vs Lubin, and we know Lomachencko is better than Charlo. Lopez has a lot to prove, but he has been impressive in his last few fights, might have the potential to be as good as Lomachencko, might, but he has a lot to prove, and a lot to learn.

I think the fight is totally winnable for Lomachenko for another few years. They're making it during the time frame that benefits Lomachenko more.

What did you think of the Crawford fight? Did you think Khan was looking for a way out?

Champion97's picture

Definitely, and Lopez seems like a very good fighter, but he has a lot to prove before we can say with confidence he will ever be on Lomachencko's level.

Great performances from Crawford, Khan made it a close fight for 3 rounds, 2 and 3 were hard to score, but Crawford came on in rounds 4 and 5, took over. No, I think he got hurt in the balls, panicked, and stupidly didn't take his 5 minutes. You?

I agree on it, I think if he fights him soon it'll be a little like Trindad vs Vargas.

I knew Khan would give him issues and win some rounds in the process. I thought he did well in rounds 2 and 3. I thought Crawford was gonna stop him in round 1 he had him almost done then. Also, I feel like Virgil Hunter was trying to get a dq win for Kahn or a no contest out of the low blow. I think his team was looking for a way out.

Maybe.

You were right about that. I don't know, I don't think so, I think Hunter did what most trainers would when they have a fighter who doesn't want to continue, but if he didn't, he should have told Khan to take the 5 minutes.

Do you want to be in the prediction competition for May?

That's true. Hunter has always been protective of his fighters (not a bad thing). I remember when he said he would save Andre Ward against Kovalev if need be.

I will, send me this list and I'll have it done as soon as possible.
