Odds on this fight going the distance are 1/100

How badly this comment aged. Credit to Burns he looked exceptional against Cardle and proved to be at least European level.

Prediction,

Burns has more experience, had double the fight Cardle has had, over double the rounds, he has the better experience as well, been in against Terence Crawford, had 12 world title fights, Cardle has never been in a single world title fight. Burns has been a professional for 17 years, he is an absolute veteran, Cardle has been a professional for less than half that time.

Cardle is 29, still young, Burns is 35, definitely not young, Cardle is much fresher than Burns, Burns took damage against Beltran, Crawford, Relikh, Martinez, Zlaticanan, and in other fights, he has been dropped I believe about 4 or 5 times, been up and down in weigjt a bit, and this long in a sport like boxing, it is taxing. Cardle hits harder than Burns I think, I think he hits harder than his KO ratio suggests.

I would not be surprised if Burns's experience, Burns's fundamental ability was too much for Cardle, and he won this fight, but I think Cardle is good enough to beat Burns at this stage of his career, I think it will go the distance, I think it will be close, Burns will outland Cardle, but Cardle will edge it out, get the win.

Burns did great here, he is obviously well past prime, but he is a veteran, and he is not a shot fighter.

Cardle should retire, he was terrible here, he looked mentally beaten from the start, this was very easy for Burns, easier than it should have been.
