Aparently Khan got Lo Greco out earlier then expected.

40 seconds. Of course people are going to be very impressed by Khan, but really, you can't be impressed or unimpressed, Lo Greco stank, he was absolutely dreadful, no defence, no real preparation, he is a clown, this was a terrible mismatch, I've always said Lo Greco is not good enough! I still think Khan, like Brook, is past his best, but not shot, and has good years ahead of him, maybe he will come of age, I mean he did display accuracy, incredible speed-power, there was absolutely nothing to be unimpressed about regardless of how bad Lo Greco was, Khan did good, but all he got from the fight was maybe a confidence boost, and the value of any fight.

I think Lo Greco was shamefully bad, he embarrassed himself, I think he didn't train anywhere near as hard as he said he did, because forget levels for a second, a fighter who has put in the time and effort, really takes it seriously, does not get whooped like that! I think now, Khan needs to fight twice a year, stay busy, build up the right way, but more specifically this year, maybe September, October, fight a much tougher opponent than Lo Greco if possible.

It was impressive but expected. Lo Greco looked terrible, like he didn't even care about this fight and trying to mess with Khans head. He should've known you need more then mind games to win a fight against Khan. He showed more power then normal in this fight.

I agree on that, absolutely shameful. Khan needs to stay active and get fights but I think with Hearn he will have no problem with that. Who do you want to see him fight next?

That whole mind games nonsense is a load of BS anyway, I'm not saying it has never worked, it can if a fighter can't separate personality and professionalism, but what Lo Greco did, that was not mental tactics, that was a clown being the fool he is. Never, in 7-8 years, in a fight like that, when the underdog has an opportunity, and SHOULD, be prepared for the fight of his life, levels don't matter as much as you might think, not in terms of the enthusiasm, competitiveness of the fight, but anyway, never have I seen such a pathetic effort, that was over in 40 seconds, it wasn't a great set up by Khan, the fight hadn't even got going! Well I think he has the same power he has always had, he has always been capable of hurting guys, look at the damage he inflicted on Collazo, Lo Greco made him look like the bees knees. It was a statement from Khan, it is a fight, all fights carry a certain value, and it must have been a confidence boost, but that is all, it was not a really impressive performance. I think Lo Greco is an absolute phoney, a liar, he didn't train hard, and (not exaggerating) an amateur fighter who hasn't had his first fight yet, could have done Lo Greco. Some fans travelled a long way and paid money to see a half decent fight, shame on that bum Lo Greco!

Maybe Adrian Granados, Felix Diaz, Mohamed Mimoune, Brad Solomon.

I think so to it rarely works. He looked very unprepared for this fight, and when the oppurtunity comes like this you should take it seriously. It's a dissapointment to undertrain because fans pay big money to watch these fights and to see someone not take it seriosuly, screws it up for that fighter, after this I'm not sure they'll televise a Lo Greco fight again, but also he's not that big of a name.

Those are all great options.

What was your favorite fight last night?

Broner vs Vargas no doubt! It was great!, I thought Broner won, many actually think Vargas won, a draw is fair, I would like to see a rematch. You?

Same here, I have to re watch but I thought Vargas won because of his early work, I thought Broner was too economical at times, but man when he started engaging he really beat up Vargas.

I'm about to watch Frampton vs Donaire, how was that?

Champion97's picture

Thing is, that's his style, he isn't always being economical as he seems to be, he just doesn't pay the punches to the fight with interest, he does enough, and what often happens is, you can watch a round, maybe two or 3 of them, Vargas will land some shots, but as he throws, Broner will move with the punches, obviously block some but not all, but it will look like Vargas is more accurate than he is, and Broner will land a good counter which might not be eye catching, but the judges see it, that's the confusion with people who score the fight 8-4/9-3 Vargas, and people hate AB, they are biased, they can deny it, try to explain their scoring, but they are wrong. In some of those late rounds, the naturally dangerous fighter inflicted the damage, and in at least one of those rounds, he hurt Vargas. For the duration of the fight, Vargas did more, had the edge, but Broner did the damage, Broner landed the particularly good, quality punches, he was the more versatile, he didn't land more punches, he got outlanded in the majority of the rounds, and at times, he was frustrated by Vargas's ability get his offence going and make Broner need to use his counter punching ability at the same time, but no, ultimately, that was anyone's fight.

Good, Frampton boxed better than I thought he would, his work ethic was great, his reaction whenever he was caught, his offensive tactics, brilliant, I still don't think he is quite as good as he was in 2016, but I think it is close, he is nowhere near done, and I might be wrong about him being past his best at all really. I think Donaire is shot, he hurt Frampton for brief periods, looked good in patches, couldn't really sustain anything, and won 3 rounds at the most I would say, 4 at an absolute push, he got outboxed by a very good boxer, and he was mentally sound was Donaire, not badly conditioned, just old, and with so many miles. I think it is time for Donaire to bow out, he has had a great career, but I think retire now.

I think Valdez vs Frampton would be brilliant! So would Santa Cruz vs Frampton III, or Mares vs Frampton!
