More:

WBC and WBA Super Lightweight Champion Kostya Tszyu and IBF Champion Zab Judah meet in a highly anticipated unification bout. Stunned by an uppercut from Judah in the first round, Tszyu comes back to floor Judah with a booming right hand in round two. Judah tries to stand too quickly, wobbles, and hits the canvas again, prompting Referee Jay Nady to call a halt to the contest. An enraged Judah throws his corner stool across the ring and threatens Nady with a glove to the throat, resulting in him being banned from boxing for six months.

I honestly thought Judah was just clowning when he went back down when I watched it live lol.

rorschach's picture

I will say, if Zab could have used his speed and stayed away like he did in the first round, this looked to be a easy win for him.

Champion97's picture

I think Zab was underrated, he gave Danny Garcia, Floyd Mayweather tough fights. I think Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi both achieved career best performances against him.

rorschach's picture

I can agree with that Champ. Just letting you know I leave for vaca in about 8 hours and wont be around for about a week. But I'll be back lol. Do you think you might have the rest of the Marquez brother fights up by then Champ?

Champion97's picture

Ok cool, well have a good vacation. Yes I should have.

rorschach's picture

This was a highly anticipated fight I remember, I couldn't wait for it to take place.

Gold's picture

Zab had all of the physical talent in the world but boxing is such a cerebral game that his ant brain held him back from being an elite boxer.

Champion97's picture

I'll add Lewis vs Golota tomorrow.

Gold's picture

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Champion97's picture

No worries.
I think you know more about the business aspect of boxing than me, and what you were saying earlier, was probably a good point.

Gold's picture

Sorry if I was rude in that comment thread.

Champion97's picture

Hey, forgive and forget, I too am sorry, put it there, if we spoke in person I would shake your hand.

You saw Groves vs Eubank Jr?

Gold's picture

Yeah I did. Very rough fight, turned into an absolute street brawl at times. Eubank needed a good coach many years ago and still needs one today. He has a boatload of athletic talent a la Zab Judah but no ring IQ or strategy. Just charging in without a jab is not a good strategy at all. Eubank showed a lot of heart in this fight though, I don't think anyone can question that, but he may never get to the world level. Overall, Groves looked better than I thought he would. Hopefully, his shoulder isn't too banged up so he can participate in the final.
