What a win for Stuart Hall, at European level, it was a solid achievement, but at British level, it was a great win. Hall was a big over achiever in boxing, he succeeded in winning a couple world title, years after this fight, he lost three tough world title fights after winning an IBF belt, he did great in all three losses, did better than anyone expected him to, even in defeat, they were close fights, but he'd already been a world champion, and it really shows, how well he did to accomplish a world title win, when you look back on this win, and consider, he had already over achieved, winning even a British title.

I don't know exactly what happened to Ian Napa, it might have been heat exhaustion, he was winning the rounds at that point, he looked to be the one doing the more damage as well as being the more established long distance fighter, but I think he was having to put a real shift in, having been behind after 6 rounds, and obviously, the shots he hit Hall with, weren't as damaging as they seemed, and Hall, the naturally bigger fighter, extremely durable, and the higher stamina, he was the one who was going to come on strong in the last few rounds I think, he had taken a lot of hard shots, but he had applied a lot of pressure, also hit Napa with a lot of energy sapping punches, and given his trainer pulled him out when he had just had a good round, he must have been completely drained after 8 rounds.
