The only reason I'm looking forward to a Rigo fight is because I know there will be no more fights left after this until the main event!

Ok I see you already on the ball Here we go you already got us a scorecared and you already got a prediction Rigondeaux all the way.

I really want to see Rigondeaux vs Tete, or Rigondeaux against Lomackenko, but I think Lomackenko vs Rigondeaux is very unlikely to happen, I'd struggle to make a prediction for that one.

Weird ending. I hate Rigo has to end up in these kind of situations. Great fighters diminished by the environment.

That was after the bell should have been a DQ.

Champion97's picture

That is one plausible conclusion, but was Flores genuinely knocked out?, was he even genuinely knocked down?, I definitely think it should have been an NC, but I agree that Rigondeaux didn't legitimately win, I think he was on his way to doing that though.

It shouldn't have been a disqualification. Both fighters where in the process of an exchange. While you are engaged with your opponent, a bell ring may not be clearly perceived. That is the reason why the referee has to jump in between the fighters at the end of the round. There's a clear difference between a delibarted illegal shot and a mishappening
