Prediction,

Good step up for Ortiz. Ortiz seems like a very talented fighter, a good prospect, seems to hit hard, he should step up now, this is a good test for him, not too much too soon, Herrera was never a great fighter, he is old now, 8 losses, but Herrera is a level above any of Ortiz's previous opponents.

Herrera has never been stopped, so Ortiz would make a real statement if he could stop Herrera, Herrera has a great chin, is very durable. If Ortiz struggles to hurt Herrera, it will be an interesting fight, Ortiz has never been past 5 rounds before, so that would be a new test for him if Herrera is still there and still fairly strong after 5 rounds.

Ortiz is inexperienced, and Herrera is a veteran, has a good jab, decent boxing skills, so it will be interesting to see if Ortiz can get the better of Herrera technically.

This is a great learning fight for Ortiz, because he will probably get rounds, and Herrera is awkward, he does the fundamentals well, but he is awkward, is a come forward fighter, has output, punches at angles, he's not easy to prepare for, so this is good experience for Ortiz.

I think Ortiz will struggle with Herrera's awkwardness in the early rounds, he will make mistakes, and will get countered, but he will probably not have too bad a start, as the much younger fighter with more speed, and the heavier handed fighter.

I think Ortiz will be the one who comes on stronger in the mid rounds, as the fighter with the more potential, but he won't take over the fight, and Herrera will still be competitive.

The late rounds will be interesting, Herrera has been 12 rounds, 4 times, Ortiz hasn't been 6 rounds, so there is a vast difference in experience, but Ortiz is young, a fresh fighter, and Herrera is 38, his stamina won't be what it was in the Danny Garcia fight. I think the late rounds will be closely fought, but Ortiz will probably get the better of it.

I think Ortiz beats Herrera by UD, 97-93, 98-92.

What a performance and statement from Ortiz! I think Ortiz has the potential to be a great fighter, definitely a very good fighter, Herrera is a veteran who has never been stopped, and Ortiz blasted him out in 3. Ortiz hits hard, is aggressive, but his jab sets up his right hand, he times shots well, moves his head, has a lot of skill, he has a lot to learn, but he will improve a lot.

He's better than Teofimo, Haney.
