Re: Tony Yoka vs Martin Bakole
Good match up. Yoka is pretty good technically and physically but didn’t deserve to win gold and lacks a chin imo. But he is better than Bakole so i fancy a 117-111 points win.

Re: Tony Yoka vs Martin Bakole
Prediction.
Yoka is more experienced with his amateur background, he has been more active than Bakole. Bakole is stronger, has a higher output, and is the better fighter at close range, Yoka is defensively better, his technique is better than Bakole's, he's definitely harder to counter. I think Yoka hits harder than Bakole, his punch accuracy is definitely better, but Bakole has the better variety. Yoka can't apply the same pressure early as Bakole, but he is the more consistent pressure fighter, cuts off the ring better, and is more methodical. Both fighters have solid jabs, the battle of the jabs will be very important. Yoka is the better fighter at mid range, Bakole fights better off the back foot.
I think Bakole will beat Yoka to the jab and back him up in the early rounds, Yoka will defend well, but Bakole will out work him, I think Yoka will jab with Bakole more as the rounds go on, he will take centre ring, and catch Bakole on the counter more often. I think Bakole will tire in the mid rounds, Yoka will back him up, will out jab him and set up his power shots, Bakole will open up and still throw in high volume, but Yoka will beat him to the punch consistently. I think Yoka will walk Bakole down in the late rounds, Bakole will be an easy target when Yoka is in range, Bakole will have success, will put Yoka on the defensive when he's able to close the gap and let his hands go, but Yoka will defend, will be ready to counter, and will finish stronger.
I think Yoka wins a UD, I'd be surprised if Bakole won, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't a competitive fight.

EBU most likely will order Ajit Kabayel and TR will like to keep Yoka busy as well

Re: Tony Yoka vs Martin Bakole
Unexpected result but very logical decision. Yoka felt the power of Bakole very early in the fight, and went down twice. His opponent Bakole never seemed even remotely hurt when the punches of Yoka touched him. Bad news for french boxing since Yoka was almost the only boxer that was mediatically followed and whose fights were organised and broadcast on prime time in France. But Bakole was clearly the best tonight, and deserved the win. One of the judge made a scorecard with a draw, as usual we can see there was some attempt at fixing but the difference was too obvious to try and pretend both fighters were on the same level tonight.
