After being humiliated and suffering his first defeat at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Saul Alvarez looks to get back on track against an opponent that he has no trouble finding, compatriot Alfredo Angulo. Alvarez requests the bout to take place at 155 pounds at the last moment, and Angulo agrees, suffering a terrible beating over ten rounds. Bleeding from his nose and right eye, Angulo beckons Alvarez on for more in the sixth round. When they trade bombs in the eighth, Alvarez starts taunting for a change. Bleeding from both eyes and his mouth, Angulo wobbles back from an uppercut in the tenth round, and Referee Tony Weeks stops it. Angulo pushes Weeks away and shouts in protest as Alvarez gets a decisive victory.

what a BS stoppage

Champion97's picture

The stoppage was fine! One of the best refreees in the world made that call, did you not consider the beating Angulo had taken, how many had he made Alvarez miss with?, when was the last time in which you saw him make Canelo miss a single shot?, he wasn't capable of defending himself, and the way that last uppercut jarred his whole head right up at rattled his skull, he did so well to stand up, it was a stoppage in which one could argue was possibly slightly too early, but it was more than justifiable, and that fight was only going one way!
