Prediction,

Great match up, first fight was close, was a good fight, both are entertaining fighters, very well matched, good that the rematch is on.

I think last time, both boxed well, both were tough, but Rungvasai is such a dangerous fighter, hits so hard, and it was harder for Estrada to take risks than it was for Rungvasai, and Rungvasai did more, won the fight.

Rungvasai is 32, he's old, I wasn't impressed with his last performance, I think he should definitely have stopped Iran Diaz, it was very one sided, but I thought it was less one sided than it should have been as well as a decision that should have been a stoppage. Estrada is 29, I think he is still in his prime, he doesn't have the reputation of a Rungvasai or a Roman Gonzalez, but he is on their level, gave both of them problems, was in good fights against both of them. Estrada has been active, got a couple of wins since the first fight.

I think this is still a 50/50 fight, but Estrada can repeat his performance from the first fight, Rungvasai can't, I think he will be better in this fight than he was against Diaz, come close, but he can't repeat his performance in the first fight.

I think this will be a close fight, I would not be surprised if Rungvasai won, but I think Estrada wins a UD, maybe 113-115 on all the cards.

I think this will be a great fight, might be more entertaining than the first one.

Rungvisai fixed his game during the fight a little too late. Great performance by el Gallo Estrada, who for most of the fight looked like in total domination.

Does anyone have a link to the Roman-TJ Doheny fight? Can't find it anywhere

Mind boggling performance from Rungvisai. Won the last fight as a southpaw and then gets dominated in this one until he goes back to southpaw and wins the last 4 rounds

TheUndefeated's picture

Agreed. May have been a different fight had he fought it all as southpaw. Still, credit to JFE as he improved upon his effort from the first fight. Both fights close and entertaining. Need a trilogy I think.

Gold's picture

Some people have mentioned it, but Estrada definitely hurt his hand part of the way through the fight which affected the way he fought later on.

Champion97's picture

Brilliant performance from Estrada, I thought he would match his performance in the first fight, but he built on it, did better in the rematch. I think Rungvasai is past his best, is declining, and he looked terrible in this fight, got easily out boxed. Estrada was stupid in those late rounds, he should have stuck to the game plan, he fought Rungvasai's fight, and he allowed Rungvasai to win the late rounds, it wouldn't have been close if Estrada had been smart in the late rounds and not let Rungvasai rally.
