Matchroom's picture

Real good fight but one of the strangest I've ever seen, very much in the vein of Winky Wright vs Julio Cesar Vasquez. Like Winky Kasahara dominated every second of the fight he wasn't on the canvas (well like I already said the 1st & 15 rounds were somewhat competitive, but I thought Kasahara still clearly won them.) Unfortunately for Kasahara he was on the canvas 5 times in 4 different rounds. Tough break for the hometown kid fighting the veteran Korean champion, as I still thought he edged the win despite the 5 knockdowns, but as is usually the case in Japan, the judges were more than a little generous with the away fighters score. Unlike Wright though Kasahara looked legit hurt and it probably could have been stopped in the 9th or 10th, where as most of Winly's KD's in the Vasquez fight were flash KD's until the 12th when he ran out of gas & was legit stunned (Winky was very young, fighting a much more much different exciting style & fighting for a world title far far away from home as well in France.)
