Prediction,

I think Kovalev will win this one, by stoppage, but he'll struggle at times, and I think Kovalev had his good years in 2010-2016, probably his best years in 2010-2014, he's declining now, he's still a good fighter, he's dangerous, but he's not going to imporve. Shabranskyy is a good fighter, he's the younger man in this fight, he can punch, he can hurt Kovalev, Kovalev doesn't take shots well, but I don't think Shabranskyy has the skill, the durability, the experience to work around and overcome the long range ability of Kovalev, and I think he'll get bullied, but, if he could take this 34 year old fighter who has always struggled after 6 rounds, into the second half, provided he isn't more fatuigued himself, the fight could be interesting.

I tnink Kovalev will have some shaky moments, get hurt once or twice, lose a round or two, but he'll return to sender, with interest, and I think he'll stop Shabranskyy in 6 rounds.

I think Kovalev can beat Stevenson, because he's got vulnerabilities, he's very old, and he doesn't have anything like Andre Ward levels of skill, but as for Bivol, Gvozdyk, Jack, Alvarez, Beterbiev, Barrera, he may want to steer clear, especially Bivol, I might be wrong about that, because I'm not sure all 6 of those guys have the beating of him, but all are massive threats I think, bigger threats than Stevenson, and I would think it highly unlikely Kovalev would beat Bivol, or Beterbiev.

Very good performance from Kovalev, but let's not get carried away, Shabranskyy had no idea what to do when he was hurt, he left himself open, and Kovalev, doing what I think he should have been able to do. I think had this gone past 4, Kovalev would've struggled, it isn't a good sign that whenever Shabranskyy did land, you could see the impact move Kovalev, he doesn't take punches well, and he's also a fighter who isn't an inside fighter, he's just got monstrous power, and is great, long range offensive fighter. Not for a second do I buy that Kovalev is as good as he was before the Ward fights, and I'm still not convinced he has the beating of Bivol or Beterbiev. I think with Kovalev, he is so dangerous, big for the weight, strong, his commading jab and well timed, devastating right hand is extremely hard to work around, his judgement of distance is good as well, but I think, if he is taken past 6 rounds, he fades, up close, on the inside, he's beatable, and he doesn't withstand shots that are fired back him very well at all, so I really don't think he is as good as most people think he is. To his credit, Kovalev is still, at the very least, a threat to any of the other top light heavyweights, he is great at bullying his opponent, he has frightening power, his jab is solid, he's patient, he boxes within himself, he's a counter puncher, he isn't a fighter you want to keep at distance, he's a nightmare opponent, I just think that he's either a fighter who dominates, or gets dominated, most of the time, he domiantes, but when he faces a fighter who is good enough to make it an inside fight, a fighter who can take advantage of his defensive flaws, take him past 6 rounds, drag him into deep waters, he gets taken apart, but to be fair, one fighter, only one guy in his whole career, out of all of his opponents has ever managed to do that, so you have to take your hat off to him, and it took a lot of guts, desire to bounce back, and fight again after that tough loss to Andre Ward, but I don't think things will go well for Kovalev if he is in the really tough fights.
