Prediction,

Not a bad opponent for Garcia, still early in his career. I think Garcia will stop Rodriguez, maybe in 6-8 rounds, should be a very easy win, but he'll try to make a statement, probably quite a lot of pressure on him, not fighting on Facebook now, and with other very young fighters, Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson, making big statements, tough competition, but he doesn't have to compete against them, he is probably the least dominant of these unbeaten kids (Stevenson, Lopez, Vergil Ortiz, Haney who fight between 126 and 140), he struggled in his last fight, but being underestimated couod be worse in the long run for future opponents.

Garcia will probably move up to 135, I would assume, being very tall, making 130 must be a tough cut, if he moves up to 135, then him vs Lopez would be a great fight, they are still very young, shouldn't be rushed, but they would only be fighting each other, wouldn't be a prime fighter vs a kid, and I think both fighters would benefit, because it would be good experience, both would learn a lot, both would raise their stock, and going through a career without an '0', not a big deal, Lomachencko, Jacobs, Pacquiao, going their early prime with at least one early loss, and it not being important. Lopez vs Garcia is unlikely to happen for a while if ever, but it would be a good 'bragging rights' fight, a bit like Groves vs DeGale, Joshua vs Whyte.

Great performance from Ryan Garcia, good learning experience, fought a real irritant of an opponent, kept his cool, and got a clinical finish. Rodriguez is a clown, a lot of dirty fighting, was there more to annoy Garcia than to do his own career good. Garcia is not ready for Gervonta Davis, he should not be rushed, he should just keep gradually stepping up his opposition.
