What a fantastic fight, and what a fantastic performance from both fighters, I think Carlos Caudras was fantastic in this fight, his footwork, his movement, his work rate, his stamina (the way he used that attribute), his punch variety, he did the up most to defend his title against possibly the best boxer in the world, but in the end, there was only one winner. I think Gonzalez was just fantastic in this fight, he fought a guy who was awkward style wise, undefeated, a genuine world champion, and a real challenge. Gonzlaez is a phenomenal boxer and a phenomenal athlete, the way he sustains that work rate, the way he walks through the offence of his opponent to get the better of them physically, the way he can be so defensively successful, the way he sustains that quality in his work, he's a special, special fighter. I think the judges were bang on, it was a competitive fight, close? Maybe, one sided? Maybe, it was a decisive victory for Gonzalez, but still a fight that should be met with a sequel, which Gonzalez is willing to compete in, I think he wins again, but there's no reason to think a proud champion like Caudras would be any less determined, any less ready, any less of a threat than he was in this fight.
