Johnson actually gets the benefit of the doubt for a change.

I had it a draw, the 4th round I like the work Johnson did for the first 2 minutes of the round over Tarver's last minute where he apparently stole the round on every bodies card here but mine.

Chris M95's picture

rd 4 was a rd made close by Tarver landing some clean bombs near the end and a good power shot at the other side of the ring which really cut into Johnson's lead but didnt overtake and build a case for Tarver on my card and the key in that rd i felt was in the middle minute near centre ring Lampley calls 2 big lefts for Tarver which i felt both missed in real time the second one may have grazed him through the guard but that left was mostly taken on the gloves..right after Tarver pulled away from a Johnson right so i understand if i had a bigger lead for Johnson than most in the rd going into the final 40 secs

rd 9 10-10ish, is what i like to call "style over substance" rd for Tarver like rd 3 for Katie Taylor vs Lindaratou or rd 4 for LSC vs Mares 1..Tarver like the previous rd where using his angles and movement on the outside looking to set Johnson up with counter combos as he came in but unlike rd 8 and early in the fight Tarver in this rd was missing most of his shots Johnson didnt land a whole lot of clean blows to separate himself from Tarver either making it a super tight rd but Johnson's body shots were harder and landed a couple of good jabs too...Tarver landed a left off what looked like a shoe shine combo near the end to make the rd pretty much even in terms of clean punching, i felt wit both guys landing an occasional power shot to the head otherwise in the first half but they were few and far between. so going into the other 3 criteria effective aggressor was Johnson in spots, ring generalship edge to Tarver for flash moves, imposing his style more and punching off angles even he wasnt very effective wit the punches he was setting up off it, defense Winky Johnson...yup you read that right... gloves up super high Johnson made Tarver miss his combos time and again with a perfect blend of picking off most of Tarver shots and great upper body movement while on the front foot making Tarver miss in instances where Tarver seemed to have better timing on him

most of the other rds were pretty straight forward to score so
