Titles at Stake:
Making the first defense of the WBC Welterweight Championship, Oscar De La Hoya runs through challenger David Kamau in the Alamodome. With future opponent Hector Camacho watching from ringside, De La Hoya comes out looking to put on a show. Under a flurry of combinations from the Golden Boy, Kamau goes down twice in the second round before Referee Laurence Cole counts him out.
