Re: Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs Ryosuke Iwasa
Prediction.
If Iwasa can claim centre ring and get off first, he can have success, but I don't think he can deal with Akhmadaliev's footwork, I think he can hurt Akhmadaliev if he lands clean, but not as easily as vice verse, and Akhmadaliev's blocking is very good, he's definitely the better defensive fighter, Iwasa is offensively good, can shorten the left hand when the opponent is closing the gap, goes to the body, but he's slow, and he's a target in exchanges, he makes adjustments with his feet on the outside, leans back as the opponent is first with a power shot, but he doesn't block or move his head, doesn't shift his position, and Akhmadaliev should be able to exploit that, I think he is an especially easy target for Akhmadaliev's right hook, because he's defensively better at long range, is likely to pull back as Akhmadaliev throws the left, and I think Akhmadaliev's right hook is his best shot.
I think Iwasa will try to establish his jab in the early rounds, the first 2 or 3 rounds will be close, Iwasa will try to back Akhmadaliev up, Akhmadaliev will use his footwork to move around Iwasa and back him up, but Akhmadaliev's left hand will fall short. I think Akhmadaliev will start to out box Iwasa on the outside in rounds 4 and 5, as his timing improves, that when I think Iwasa will try to up the tempo, and fight in the pocket, that's when Akhmadaliev will land a clean right hook, hurt Iwasa, I think Iwasa will recover the first time he's hurt, but he won't be able to get any momentum back, Akhmadaliev will walk him down, Iwasa will be an eays target, Akhmadaliev will be accurate, will keep the pressure on Iwasa, and stop him in 6-8 rounds.

Re: Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs Ryosuke Iwasa
Great performance from Akhmadaliev, I think Iwasa was prepared for the right hook, he was leaning to his left and was out of position to take the shot, but Akhmadaliev didn't need to look for that shot, his left was accurate and well timed, and his jab was great, he varied it to head and body, he used his footwork and positioning to push Iwasa back, had more momentum as the fight went on, his blocking was good, and he was never in a position to be countered. Iwasa's defence was very poor apart from not being a target for the right hook, he was a target for the jab, wasn't moving away from the left hand as it came, Akhmadaliev was knocking a lot out of him, but I definitely thought the stoppage was premature, Iwasa was taking every shot Akhmadaliev was throwing, but he wasn't his legs were beneath him, he looked in as good a position to defend himself as earlier in the fight, and he deserved the opportunity to continue. I think Akhmadaliev would have got a more decisive stoppage sooner or later, he was doing damage by fighting a technical fight.
