Prediction,

Ito proved to be at least half decent at world level against Diaz, he was dominant, got a stoppage in his first defence, seems to be a good champion, has one loss, but it was an SD, a few years ago, he'll have learned and improved since, he doesn't have any half decent world level wins, apart from his last two wins, and Diaz and Chuprakov hadn't fought at world level before fighting Ito, so Ito has a lot to prove, but he has been impressive in his last two fights.

Herring is not bad, doesn't have a bad record, 19-2, he is old at 33, but his recent form has been good. Herring was a very good amateur fought Yeleussinov in the Olympics, Frankie Gomez. Herring hasn't seemed to have to have adapted that well to the pros, and although he hasn't done bad as a professional, he has two losses, one of them was a stoppage loss to Shafikov, he was unfortunate, injured both hands, but still lost, and he also lost to Ladarius Miller, who is probably not world level.

I think Ito is a level above Herring, I think Herring will try his best, it might be fairly competitive, but it will be a one sided fight, and Ito will do a lot more damage, be the busier fighter. I think Ito wins a UD, 118-110.

I think Berchelt vs Ito is a great potential fight, both with Top Rank, so the fight wouldn't be hardest to make, I think that would be a very entertaining fight.

I am not sure who was worse or more biased? The commentary, the ref and the judges were all pretty bad in this fight IMO...I had to hit mute after 7

The commentary is always not so good with espn. I don't like ward as an in fight commentator but like him better as an after fight analyst. He tries to create a narrative in fights rather than just judge things round by round. And agreed the ref was to involved

I thought the judging was dead on though and watched the fight on mute

I'm honestly not sure how there's any controversy here. Herring completely outboxed him, I could see at most 4 rounds for Ito, but I think any scorecard that doesn't have Herring winning is categorically wrong.

yeah youd have to be looking to give Ito rounds for anything below 116-112. Herring schooled this man
