Re: Martin Joseph Ward vs Azinga Fuzile
I rate Fuzile but don't see how he wins this fight on points. Slower hands, slower feet, much less experience, less active. He has a puncher's chance.

My very obvious mistake was confusing volume with hand speed. Fuzile definitely faster which is why he generates more power. Would like to see a rematch but unlikely.

I've made the same mistake plenty of times.

Re: Martin Joseph Ward vs Azinga Fuzile
Prediction.
Fuzile is the far faster fighter, has better footwork, better reflexes, but Ward has the better variety, is the better inside fighter, and does the fundamentals better,1 I think Zuzile is definitely the more talented fighter, he was impressive against Rakhimov until he was stopped, was likely ahead, but the timing favours Ward, he's in his prime, is more experienced, Fuzile is only 24, and Ward isn't coming off a defeat or as long a layoff. I think Fuzile hits harder than Ward, but Ward is bigger, he should be the stronger fighter. Fuzile can frustrate Ward by making adjustments with his feet, and by using his rotation as defence when Ward tries to increase the tempo, he does a good job of using his guard to protect the body as well, but with Ward's variety, he can make it hard for Fuzile to make him miss with all the shots. Both are good body punchers, Ward brings the attack from body to head and vice verse when he throws on the inside, and Fuzile has a great right hook to the body. Both fighters have vulnerabilities, both can be caught, don't have good chins, and don't have good survival skill based on the stoppage loss for both of them, but I think Ward has definitely improved since his loss to Tennyson.
I think Fuzile will be busier in the early rounds, will offset Ward with his speed, but Ward will establish his jab, will back Fuzile up, throw a variety of shots when Fuzile is static at mid range, especially if he's on the ropes, reset when Fuzile gets off the ropes, I don't think he'll be able to keep him under relentless pressure, I think he will struggle for accuracy, Fuzile will defend well, and will land the more damaging shots, but he'll struggle to work, will be under enough pressure that he won't settle into a rhythm. I think Fuzile will have more in the tank in the late rounds, Ward will have missed with more shots, and Fuzile will have done better work to the body, I think Ward's output will drop, he won't be coming forward as much, and that's when Fuzile can go on the offensive, and I think he'll hurt Ward. I think Ward's survival skill has improved since the Tennyson fight, I don't know if Fuzile has the finishing ability or the overall offensive ability to stop Ward.
No outcome would surprise me, Fuzile might still be too inexperienced, I could see either getting a stoppage, but I think Fuzile has the potential to be a level above Ward, and has enough to beat him even at this stage. I think Fuzile wins by UD.

Re: Martin Joseph Ward vs Azinga Fuzile
Bad luck for Ward, the fight was very close for 6 rounds, a leg injury is worse than an arm injury, he had no chance to win with that. This was a good learning fight for Fuzile, his landed a couple of perfectly timed counters that did damage, he was patient, took advantage when Ward made a mistake, but he struggled with Ward's footwork, got out worked, didn't take advantage when he landed a good shot, I think Fuzile would have won, but it would have been interesting to see how the second half would have gone down had Ward not sustained the leg injury.
