WHATAFUCKINGAWESOMEGREAT FIGHT!!! this fight is what all of boxing should be!... Boxing..:Slugfest...counterpunching...outboxing...strategy! FUCKINGBRILLIANT!.... I have thurman barely winning due to his sweet counterpunching, but porter really punished thurman's body with so many bodyhooks and wrestling...it could go either way!

Thurman won UD! 115-113 all judges...but it was so close Porter deserves a rematch!...at the end...WE ALL WON!

It was close but Porter was hurt more often and held on tight each time.

Thurman was active enough himself to be in almost all the rounds. I thought he got bullied. I think that's a fair decision. I wouldn't have complained if it was the other way though.

Crazy fight!

The fight was a Draw.

Porter has some tough luck a few fights they say he lost he should have gotten a Draw.

What a fight!!!
Phenomenal performance from both fighters!!
Keith Thurman had a torrid, torrid time in this fight, Shawn Porter is a nightmare opponent for anybody, he's very strong, very fast in hand and foot, got great stamina, not a massive puncher, but a relentless bulldog, doesn't let you breathe, if he can't hurt you with one shot, he can hit with a couple of extra shots, he throws from angles, he thumps away at the body, and he brushes off what you hit him with, his chin is granite. Thurman showed adaptability in this fight, Porter really took the fight to him, I had Porter ahead after 9 rounds, when he hurt Thurman in round 8, hurt him to the body, built on it with an onslaught in round 9, it looked to me as if he was taking over, but he just brought out a better fighter in Thurman, and that is what champions due, they come through adversity, when it is all going against them, they dig deep, they come through it, and they come away with the win. It was close, but in the end, there was one winner, and that was Thurman, the judges were fair though, that was not only competitive, it was also close, I know of nobody who didn't score it close, Thurman didn't seem to have a problem with the judges declaring that he lost 5 rounds.

I think Thurman's power helped him, Porter made it very hard for Thurman, but he rarely if ever really rocked him, he didn't really stiffen the legs with anything, but Thurman, when he landed on Porter's chin, Porter looked gone for a split second a few times, Thurman must have been so confident of stopping Porter, but Porter was smart before he was brave, he showed new found maturity, held on for a couple of seconds, and his recovery was just outstanding, the conditioning is one thing you simply can not criticise Porter on.

I think one of the differences in the end, was that when Porter had Thurman on the ropes, he could keep Thurman put, he could make it untidy, he could stop Thurman sustaining his rhythm, he could negate Thurman's composure, negate ability to get his shots off, but I think Porter's problem was that because of the reflexes, upper body movement, preparation from Thurman, he couldn't keep up his work, keep sticking to his tactics, without smothering his own work, and so he wasn't able to get his own shots off, this isn't an overall summary of the fight, because man, Porter certainly landed clean, plenty of times in the fight, there were just a few differences between the two, and in the end, Thurman just too good, not a lot on it, 7-5 seems to be pretty much the only scorecard you see, I do not think Thurman actually lost or you could argue that, but a draw is not a score I would really argue with, because there were a lot of close rounds, and it was a really close fight.

I think this was a great fighter vs an ultra great fighter, I'm not sure I think Thurman is a level above Porter, but maybe just a notch up, I thought what Thurman said after the fight was very fair, "Porter, he's not in the top 2, but still, a marquee, in the division".
