Prediction,

Good step up for Metcalf, he hasn't fought any good British level fighters yet, he's unbeaten, is a dominant fighter, but his opposition has been poor. Welborn comes off a KO loss, in a fight he was lucky to get, it was the opportunity of a lifetime for Welborn, fought for the WBA and IBF world titles, tried his best, made a fight of it, but got knocked out and early. Welborn didn't take too much damage against Hurd, it wasn't a sustained beating, and he got those two very narrow wins against Tommy Langford last year, so that this level, he is good, should be almost at his best in this fight.

If Metcalf is good, has a lot of potential beyond this level, he should beat Welborn, it might be the learning fight he needs, he's 30, is inexperienced, so it is hard to see him winning a world title, and beating Welborn isn't a win that will get him a world title shot, but it's for the commonwealth title, a good test for Metcalf.

I think Metcalf wins a UD.
