Prediction,

I think this will be a very good fight, Sparrow is the younger, fresher fighter, but Lundy is the much more experienced fighter, has been at the much higher level.

Sparrow is 9-1, his loss was by DQ, which suggests he's a dirty fighter, but it isn't the most conclusive result. Sparrow stopped Jesus Serrano in 2 rounds, that was his last fight, Serrano recently went the distance against a couple of other prospects, but Sparrow failed a drug test, and it was changed to a No Contest. Sparrow didn't have much of an amateur career as far as listed BoxRec, he was pushed to an SD by a fighter who Amos Cowart knocked out in 5 rounds, but he has stepped up his opposition in his last few fights, beat a couple of unbeaten fighters, one of them was a very good fight, both got dropped twice. Sparrow has improved a lot in his last few fights, but he is still inexperienced, and he might not be that good.

Lundy is past his best now, has 7 losses, been in some damaging fights, has been down at least 7 times, he is 35, he might be just about shot, maybe not, but he is past his best. Lundy has been against Herrera, Molina, Abril, Postol, even Crawford, has had 37 fights, he is a veteran, might still have enough left to beat a fighter who just simply isn't on the same level as him.

Sparrow only has 3 KOs, but he might have the power to hurt Lundy, but at the same time, Sparrow has been down himself, Lundy isn't a puncher, but he isn't a non-puncher either.

Lundy should still do the basics better than Sparrow, but in terms of overall skill, it depends on Sparrow, but the experience has to be a factor even if Sparrow has a world level potential, which he might not.

I think this fight depends on whether or not Lundy is finished, and maybe how good Sparrow is, because although this is a step up, if he is world level, he should beat Lundy at this stage.

I think Sparrow might edge Lundy, might drop him, do enough damage to win the fight, but if he could stop him, that would be a statement. If Lundy loses this fight, I think he should retire.
