Prediction,

I think this fight is a waste of time for Gennady Golovkin, he has easily handled better fighters than Wade in the past, he is very avoided, and I feel sorry for him in that he isn't getting the challenges so he can prove him full potential, I think this fight will be a walk in the park, he will invite in the offence of Wade, realise that Wade can't hurt him (and so will Wade), and then Gennady will pile the pressure on, push back his opponent, where him down, and knock him out, it is as simple as that, I think round 4 will be the time of the almost inevitable stoppage.

Wade was robbed.

I agree to an extent, but on the one hand you have Saunders, who has been man enough to admit he knows he would lose to Golovkin, and although I don't think any of the others are that keen, I think it is more the promoters who run from fighters like Golovkin.

Canelo putting down the 155 pound catch weight and doing that for every fight is a sign too.

Yes, but I don't blame Alvarez, I blame De La Hoya.

I just wonder how the Arena manages to profit from beer sales during Golovkin Fights...Fight is over even before fans can finish their first drink!

Canelo...stop ducking...you chicken.

Or vacate that belt that doesn't belong to you

Alvarez facing Khan, too me, is a sign he wants no part of Golovkin.... IDK, it's hard to blame Oscar and crew for thinking this way. Canelo is the cash cow. A loss to Golovkin (by ko nonetheless) would hurt his name/numbers/reputation/health. One thing i cringe every time I hear it is "that is a fight we want... in the future" ect..... Unless Canelo drastically improves it will not. Maybe they will make us all suffer for a few years and wait till Golovkin is like 37 years old and then maybe take the fight....

There isn't much I or anybody else can say about this fight in hindsight, all we can say is, Gennady Golovkin is a special, special fighter, and he was just bored in this fight. I didn't really enjoy watching this fight, I thought it was sad to see Wade in there without any hope, being nothing other than a punching bag, and being somebody who shouldn't have even been in that ring really. I saw so much ease in Golovkin, those jabs he threw in the first round, were not punches he put a lot of focus into, the force that the jab delivered was impressive, and so was the precision, I couldn't believe the almost effortlessness of his success. It was so clear that from first bell to last, Wade had no control whatsoever over any aspect of the fight at all, he threw punches, he landed punches, Gennady deliberately missed counter punch opportunity after counter punch opportunity, I even saw him miss on purpose, let's face it, Golovkin carried Wade in there, why? Because he is the most avoided, under challenged fighter on the planet, and he wanted rounds. I think Golovkin had the choice of controlling everything about this fight, but he seemed to want Wade to work hard, the way Wade seemed to be trying to hard just to land glancing, inevitably landed (due to GGG's deliberate lack of defence) punches, and miss with shots, whilst being under pressure to be be forced to move and punch 3 minutes a round, but Golovkin just tries something through an athletes dislike for physical laziness, and he lands hard, forceful, fast, well timed, precise jabs that seem to deliver the same amount of impact as left hooks from strong punchers. Something I found very interesting was the first knock down, I think after the clinch, Wade thought the only way to stop Golovkin from using his pressure to set up something dangerous was to occupy him with his own defence (or maybe he was just gambling, in with any punch he thought could possibly land), but he landed a meaningless left hook, and it looked like Golovkin dropped him with a right hand, but I think Wade tried to follow up his left hook with a right hand, but the split second his glove left his face, Gennady instinctively caught him with an almost effortless little short left hook to the jaw, and this is what caused the knock down, I think the right hand wasn't even a clean shot, I think Golovkin didn't intend to knock down Wade, it may have been a spur of the moment situation, but Wade looked hurt, and he hadn't really be caught by anything by the standards of GGG. Golovkin tested Wade in round 2 when he finally put a little bit of effort in when he landed that nice two punch combination, but Golovkin still did this with insane ease, the way this amount of held back (which I find unbelievable) power was enough to cause Wade to fall onto the canvas, he didn't take a knee, that was a genuine, heavy impact knock down, I don't think Golovkin could resist just simply catching him with a couple more power shots just to put him out of his misery, he hadn't even really got started, his opponent was in distress, had no hope, was on numb, useless legs, was bemused, and his fate was in the hands of Golovkin, he just did what he needed to do, and it was too easy.

I have bucketfuls of respect for Gennady Golovkin, and anyone who doesn't has some explaining to do, I think he is very humble, he is showing great patience and understanding with the difficult situation of not getting the opportunity to fight Saul Alvarez, I think if that fight does happen, it is a while away to say the least. On the bright side, Billy Joe Saunders is a real champion, he's a great sportsman, and I'm sure he would more be more than happy to fight Golovkin, that is just what Golovkin needs, a challenge, Chris Eubank could also be an option, so could Danny Jacobs, so could Andy Lee, maybe the Charlo brothers will move up to 160 one day, there are so many options for Golovkin if you think about it, I just hope he gets a challenge on his next fight, it really is what he needs so the best can be brought out of him, the more he is challenged, the better he will be for the sport of boxing.
