Prediction,

Good match up, Makabu hasn't fought at this level for 3 years, when he lost to Bellew, he took a beating there, a short beating, but still. Makabu has had 5 fights since the Bellew loss, won them all, the majority of those fights were against opponents with losing records, and of them are more or less just better than nothing, but he did beat Taylor Mabika, stoped him in 5, that's a good win. Makabu is good, he beat Thabiso Mchunu, Dymtro Kucher, stopped Glen Johnson, he's 31, still young for a cruiserweight, and he hasn't taken so much damage he is likely to be shot, so I think Makabu can fight for a world title again.

Kudryashov is a devastating puncher, he has 23 wins, none by decision, knocked out all but one of his opponents. Kudryashov can be hurt himself, does have vulnerabilities, got dropped on his debut, got knocked out in 2 rounds against Dorticos, and he got beaten up and stopped on his feet against Durodola, he beat Durodola in a rematch, but he lost the first fight early, so he can definitely be hurt, Kudryashov. Kudryashov is 33, he isn't old, doesn't have too many miles.

Both guys can be hurt, both can punch, both have an early stoppage loss, I think this is a 50/50 fight.

Kudryashov hasn't been past 7 rounds, he is untested in the late rounds, and having never been there before, I think he will struggle against a fighter he is evenly matched against. Makabu has been 12 rounds, and against Mchunu, he proved he was strong enough in the late rounds, came back to from behind to knock Mchunu out. I think if Makabu survives the first 6 rounds, he has a great chance of winning this fight.

I think this will be a great fight, it will be tentative for a couple of rounds, but as soon as one of them lands clean, they will both be more vulnerable but also more dangerous, but will be hurt, both might go down, but I think after 6 rounds, Makabu will come on strong, will certainly have more in the tank than Kudryashov, and he'll stop him in 7 or 8 rounds.

Kudryashov gave it his all...

Feel bad for the guy :(
