Fight Notes: 

In the first defense of his IBF Super Featherweight title, hard-hitting Diego Corrales puts on a workman like performance against the much shorter John Brown en route to a unanimous decision on the undercard of the bout between Fernando Vargas and Winky Wright. Corrales hurts Brown with a straight right hand in the third round but is unable to put away the tough challenger, who takes him twelve rounds in a losing effort.
