Prediction,

Awesome match up!, might be the biggest fight in women's boxing.

Last time, I thought Hammer would win, win well, and experience would be the difference, now, Sheilds has had 2 more fights, gone 10 both times, won 2 complete shutouts, and Hammer was unwell, has fought once since the fight was previously scheduled, not a title defence, a small fight, she won by a 2nd round TKO, against an opportunity with a record of 8-7. Inactivity is an issue for Hammer, she comes off 10 months without a title defence, but it isn't too long a layoff, she did have that one fight which is something, so I don't think inactivity will be too much of an issue for her, but she is fighting a more experienced Shields than she would have been had the fight happened before, and Shields has probably improved.

I think Hammer might still have too much experience, Shields still might not be quite ready, she is still only 24, still only 8-0, and her last two fights haven't been particularly good learning fights because of the relatively limited opposition, she is closer to her prime than she was when the fight was scheduled before, but she probably has 3 years before she peaks.

I think this will be a good fight, but Hammer will win a UD, 96-94 or 97-93, it won't be a one sided fight, it will be competitive, but Hammer will win conclusively. If Shields wins this, that's incredible, in only her 9th fight, she's fighting an experienced 3 weight world champion who is making her 13th defence, who is still under 30, unbeaten and fresh. I think this will be the making of Shields, I don't think she will win, but she will learn a lot, bounce back a better fighter.

Phenomenal performance from Claressa Shields!
Shields is a great fighter.
Sheilds's defence was brilliant in this fight, Hammer couldn't hit her, she countered Hammer, out boxed her, for the first half, and in the second half, she went on the offensive, had her in trouble in the 8th.
This was a one sided fight, it was supposed to be a 50/50 fight, and Sheilds domimated Hammer, like Crawford did against Postol, like Mayweather did against Pacquiao, like Usyk did against Gassiev.
In my opinion, Claressa Sheilds is the best female boxer of all time, to be as good as she is, with less than 10 fights, is exceptional, 3 weight world champion, undisputed, at 9-0, only 24, she is a special fighter. Shields will probably still improve over the next few years. The Braekhus fight, at 154, is a great match up, only concern for Sheilds would be making 154 and rehydration, but I think Shields beats Braekhus, she beat Hammer easily, I don't think any woman at 154-168 can give Shields real problems.
