Prediction,

Algieri did better than I thought he would in his last fight, he isn't the fighter he was, but maybe he can get another world title shot, has a big fight left.

Gonzalez's record is not bad at all, 17-1-1, but his opposition has been poor, less than half his opponents had winning records, his opposition has been better in some of his last few fights, but still, he hasn't fought an opponent with a good record, hasn't fought an opponent who has achieved what Algieri has achieved. Gonzalez has one loss, that was against Danny O'Connor, who isn't close to world level, and he got stopped in 3, and O'Connor, not a puncher at all.

I think this is levels, Gonzalez is younger, fresher, been more active, but I think the difference in levels is much more than enough, and Algieri will win easily, he is a non-puncher, Algieri, but he has good skills, speed, movement, whether or not he stops him depends on how much resilience Gonzalez doesn't have.

I think Algieri can get the stoppage, might get Gonzalez out if there in the mid rounds with accumulation
