Good comeback fight for Bam Bam. He looked pretty sharp for being off 19 months, slipped a lot of shots, while picking off others with his glove all while continously landing. Round 6 was a big round for Rios, you could tell the opening of the 7th was the last ditch effort for Herrera. Hopefully Brandon makes some waves at 147.

Changing trainers didn't make a difference so far Rios fought the same way he did when he was a kid I'am not big on guys changing trainers after a loss after the won together as a team. The trainer can't fight for you the fighter must learn to make in ring adjustments.

No parting ways with Robert Garcia didn't change his style, but Brandon did look sharp, round 6 especially. He displayed actual good defense slipping and parrying shots from Herrera while seamlessly always being on offense landing big shots. Like that short right hand and those booming uppercuts. Herrera threw what he had left at Brandon at the beginning of round 7, round 6 did him in, he just didn't go down until the 7th. I don't see Rios being able to beat the Welterweight elite, but hopefully we get some good action fights out of a possible Brook, Spence, Garcia, Porter or Thurman matchups. I could see Rios team trying to get the Ortiz fight back on, would be a decent money fight for both fighters, and would be a ton of fun while it lasted.

A Berto fight for Brandon might be good too.

Rios took monster shots from a no name journeyman in a fight set up for him to win Rios could not lose and still got hit to much.
