Prediction,

Good match, interesting fight.

Great opportunity for both these guys, they must be very happy to get a world title shot, it is a real world title fight, but not at the highest level, so they both have a realistic chance of becoming champion.

Farmer is the younger fighter, the fresher fighter, and the guy who might have the more motivation to win this fight. Dib is the more experienced fighter, he has been a world champion, he has fought more good fighters. Farmer is the better defensive fighter, Dib is the better offensive fighter, I think. Farmer has almost no power, and being shot in the hand last year won't have helped that, but he has a good chin, Dib isn't a puncher, but he hits harder than Farmer, but I think he has a vulnerable chin, especially now, after the tough losses to Gradovich and Miura. Dib was the much better amateur. Farmer's level of competition has been better in recent years, Diaz, Ogawa, Redkach, not good fighters at world level I don't think, but better than anyone Dib has fought apart from Gradovich and Miura since 2012, I think.

It will be interesting to see who the aggressor is in this fight, Dib isn't often aggressive, but Farmer is so mobile, and he lacks power. Dib does have skill, he is a good combination puncher, he has a decent jab, and if he can use his experience, his pedigree, he might win this fight.

I think Farmer will win, I think he is the more motivated fighter, I think he is good enough to beat Dib at this stage, he is skilled, fast in hand and foot, defensively brilliant, he is a good fighter, and this is his time, this might be the best opportunity he will ever get, and possibly the most winnable world title fight he will ever be in. If Farmer loses this, he might well never be a world champion.

I think Farmer, UD, 117-111/116-112. Hopefully, Farmer will get fair credit in Australia, people think Pacquiao was robbed against Horn, he wasn't, but that is the consensus, hopefully, if the result is fair on Farmer, then that will be good for the reputation of Australian boxing in terms of giving the visitor a fair crack.

Brilliant from Tevin Farmer!
I did not expect such variety, versatility, and output from Farmer!
Dib tried his best, couldn't have done any more, but he could not do any good work, he wasn't hurting Farmer, wasn't able to control the pace, was an easy target, the head/body attacking flurries from Farmer really took a toll, and in round 9, Dib was hurt, his legs went, he was a fatuiged fighter. Dib is wise to retire, he has had a good career, will go down as an Australian boxing legend, was a world champion, but he got beaten up in this fight, lost a landlside, he tried his best, but he just doesn't have it. Farmer isn't a puncher, we know that, he does lack power, but what he did in this fight was at least partly compensate with volume and accumulation, he can generate a little bit of power, but in this fight, he broke down his opponent by sapping it out of him, attacking head and body accurately, and you don't need much power to do that over a long, sustained period of time, which is why Farmer was able to take a toll, and came close to stopping Dib.

Farmer is world champion now, a unification would be good to see, there are big unification fights out there as potential fight options, Machado, Davis, Berchelt, Ito, would be good to see Farmer in against any of those.

I’ve heard from people who have sparred farmer say that he has decent power, a lot better than they expected..don’t know why he rarely gets a KO tho
